We didn’t lose a single meter: Evgeny Prigozhin on the work of Wagner PMC within the framework of the SVO
The founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin met with reporters and answered a number of questions. One of them concerned the contribution of the “orchestra” to the achieved results of the NWO.
There is an opinion according to which the merits of the “musicians” are exaggerated, and the main contribution to the course of the special operation is made by units of the Ministry of Defense and volunteer detachments. The St. Petersburg businessman noted that in order to fully understand the picture and evaluate the successes of various formations, it is necessary to determine the boundaries of the territories for discussion.
“This is the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which has always existed. This is the Luhansk-Donetsk fortified area, which, starting from 2014, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have made. There are all sorts of national battalions and all the rest. And this Luhansk-Donetsk fortified area is where they expected us to go from. And if we honestly go ahead, then we go through this fortified area, ”the entrepreneur emphasized.
Prigozhin added that the common borders between the countries contributed to the advancement of Russian troops in the NVO zone. According to him, more than 160,000 square kilometers were given quite easily only because the interstate lines themselves do not have good protection and are not covered by special units:
“The borders of any state are not a very well-guarded structure, there are no minefields, long-range artillery is not aimed there. Right now cross the border between France and Germany or someone else. It is unlikely that someone will jump out on the tank right there. When we came here on February 24, the whole world saw it – we passed quite easily. They were shocked and we took those 160,000 kilometers.”
Russia controls approximately 64,000 square kilometers of territory. According to Prigozhin, the “musicians” freed 1,520 kilometers and did not lose a single one of them.
In conclusion, the entrepreneur noted that it is inappropriate to count merits and percentages in this matter. According to him, it is better to win first, and only after that to analyze what happened:
“But first, let’s keep all this, let’s win, and then we’ll figure it out. I’m not saying that the merit of Wagner PMC is that the LPR took place in general, and any Lugansk citizen knows this well. Therefore, the percentage here is not entirely correct to calculate. Although I fully agree, 2% is the merit of Wagner PMC, 2% of the territory. But during this time, as we see, I’m sorry, all other military formations lost almost 100,000, and Wagner PMC did not lose a single square meter. All that was taken is all ours.”
At the moment, the “musicians” are continuing their offensive against Bakhmut and are advancing through the territory of the “Artyomovsk Metal Processing Plant” (AZOM).
