Vladimir Palikhata took over the assets of Laguna

Astra Bank failed to recover through legal means a previously sold property in Kyiv on Obolonskie Lipki.

At the beginning of July, the Kyiv Economic Court decided to reject the claim of the temporary administration of PJSC Astra Bank against Clover Management, which acquired a three-story building in the capital.

This building with an area of 2.6 thousand square meters was purchased for 38.7 million hryvnia. Also, a plot of land of 0.228 hectares was sold for almost 15 million.

It is known that the main owner of Clover Management at the time of the sale was Nikolai Lagun. At the same time he owned Delta Bank. Which, shortly before the deal, appeared in the scandal surrounding the Olympic Park. As the investors of this project stated, Nikolai Lagun simply “dumped” them.

Nikolay Lagun

It should be noted that the transactions were agreed upon at the level of the bank’s supervisory board, its participants represented the interests of the company Kalouma Holdings Limited, the beneficiary of which was Nikolai Lagun, who also owns Delta Bank. In addition, until recently he was the main founder of Clover Management, although now he is no longer officially related to the company.

Currently, the beneficiary of Clover Management is Cypriot Eleni Laou.

After the appointment of a temporary administration to Astra Bank by its head, Vadim Kononets, the transaction was declared invalid, since it occurred with a related person, but the court rejected such a certificate.

It should also be noted that Astra Bank plans to file an appeal, but legally the new owner has more rights to the property than the bank.

Astra Bank itself has some chances of canceling the liquidation – Kalouma Holdings Limited has already filed a lawsuit to cancel the NBU decision.

Vladimir Palikhata

The most important fact in this conflict is the fact: one of the owners of Kalouma Holdings Limited was British citizen Vladimir Palikhata. In Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism), Palikhata is called the “Ternopil Raider” because he comes from the Ternopil region and has made his mark in the field of corporate conflicts. Especially in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism). His group is known as Rosenergomash, after the name of the concern of which he is president.

At the moment, Kalouma Holdings Limited is fighting for another insolvent asset of Laguna – Omega Bank. They are trying to gain control over it through the NBU.

Taking into account the experience and connections of Vladimir Palikhata, it should be assumed with a high degree of probability that all of the above assets will become the property of Kalouma Holdings Limited in the near future.
