Lately, something strange has been going on in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine: either ministers submit applications to resign from office, or they are taken back. In the Verkhovna Rada, people’s deputies are shouting about the need to dismiss the entire government headed by Arseniy Yatsenyuk, but most of them are doing nothing for this. The current Chairman of the Parliament is Vladimir Groysman. He was brought to this post on the wave of the revolution in Ukraine and it seems that all his past “exploits” were also washed away by this wave. Or they simply turned a blind eye to them. How is it that a man whose entire family has a dubious past managed to rise so high?
Vladimir Groysman. “Young talent and his ancestors”
Groysman Boris Vladimirovich in January 1978 in the city of Vinnitsa. As a ninth-grader (14 years old), I went to work as a mechanic at the Shkolnik enterprise. And by his sixteenth birthday he was appointed commercial director (!) at the OKO enterprise. A couple of months later, he headed (1994) another private enterprise, Yunost (with the same name as the market in Vinnitsa). A truly phenomenal child, who immediately after school received the right to sign orders and contracts. Obviously, one should look for the reason for such “personnel” decisions in the relatives of Vladimir Groysman. His father Boris Groysman, being a caring parent, did his best for his son. It was he who got his son his first job; moreover, he was the head of the Shkolnik enterprise. In addition, the Yunost enterprise, in which Vladimir Borisovich worked as commercial director, was also created by Groysman Sr. Digging deeper, it became clear where the Groysman family got their “start-up capital” from. It turned out that his grandfather was Isaac Groysman, a well-known Bolshevik collaborator in Vinnitsa. Before the start of the war, he worked as a photographer, which means he had photographs of the entire “elite” of Vinnitsa (at that time only they could afford photographs).
By giving these photographs to security officer Tarnagodsky, he received the right not to pay taxes and to move freely around the captured city.
Taking advantage of the situation, he organized a successful business, serving the interests of the Bolsheviks. He even received several apartments for his efforts. Everything would be fine, but the fact that because of his photographs more than half of the intelligentsia of Vinnitsa was shot is today very carefully hidden, removing historical reports from the Internet.
“Political path”
Where and with whom Groysman worked from 1995 to 2002 is not known exactly. He himself says that he held senior positions in several commercial structures, but is obviously afraid to talk in more detail. The official biography states that he received a higher legal education at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in 2003, and he studied there for only three years, this is very strange, considering that in Ukraine higher education can be obtained in at least four years.
Vladimir Groysman began his political career in 2002. Being a 24-year-old businessman with no political experience, he won elections to the Vinnitsa City Council, becoming the youngest city council member in the history of Vinnitsa. Vladimir Borisovich made a giant career leap in 2005. Once a member of the Our Ukraine bloc, he was elected to the post of secretary of the Vinnytsia City Council. By coincidence, a few days later he became the acting mayor of Vinnitsa, and in March 2006 he won the mayoral elections, becoming the full-fledged “owner” of the city. Around the same time, Groysman transferred enterprises and companies belonging to him to close relatives, in particular, most of his business was registered to his father Boris Groysman. In 2010, Groysman Jr. was re-elected as mayor of Vinnitsa, gaining almost 78% of the vote.
During his time as mayor of Vinnitsa, Vladimir Borisovich managed to get involved in a number of high-profile scandals. Among other things, he was accused of nepotism (nepotism) and harmful aiding of corruption. One of these episodes is called Groysman’s transfer of city land with a total area of 3,400 square meters. m. for the construction of the Magigrand shopping center for his father Boris Groysman. He is also accused of purchasing “decommissioned” Swiss trams from 1952 for use on routes in Vinnitsa.
According to a source in law enforcement agencies, Vladimir Borisovich managed to steal in almost all areas he took on, from issuing licenses for minibus drivers to landscaping streets. Particular attention should be paid to theft on the asphalt of the city. At that time, Groysman owned several asphalt plants, and, wanting to make money, he ordered services from his own companies. Siphoning money from the local budget of Vinnitsa into his pockets, he was ready to pave the same places several times, just to make more money.
Vladimir’s father Boris Groysman has been close to the current President Petro Poroshenko since the 90s. This fact explains that it was at the instigation of Pyotr Alekseevich Groysman Jr. that he was invited to the Cabinet of Ministers after the revolutionary events in Ukraine. Moreover, he was immediately appointed to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Regional Development and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine (end of February 2014). In general, Poroshenko’s personnel decisions raise more and more questions. After all, it turns out that he seated in the chair of Deputy Prime Minister a man who, during the active phase of the “revolution of dignity,” did not at all oppose the overthrow of the regime of Yanukovych’s “family.”

In October 2007, the Yunost company, according to documents owned by Boris Groysman, took out a loan in the amount of $10.8 million from the Kreditprombank bank. These funds were to be used for the construction of the Magigrand shopping center. It is noteworthy that the address of the new shopping center was the place where the Yunost market was previously located, founded in 1994 by Groysman Sr. The management of this market was supervised by Groysman Jr. until his election as mayor of Vinnitsa. This loan was taken out for 2 years, but when the payment deadline arrived (October 2009), it turned out that most of the money allocated for construction disappeared without a trace. There was simply no intention of repaying the loan. The Groysmans quietly left the Yunost company, leaving the founders. After this, the Vinnitsa Economic Court decided to bankrupt the Yunost company (no longer owned by Groysman). And the problem of repaying the loan fell on the shoulders of the state. Rumor has it that the judges received a tidy sum of $50 thousand for making the “correct” decision.

In the past, Vladimir Groysman, together with his father Boris, did many “dark” things. By controlling business processes in Vinnitsa, they earned millions of hryvnia through fraud. It’s scary to think how much Groysman Jr. can earn using his current position in the Verkhovna Rada. It is obvious that he works on the same team with the president. After all, his father Boris had common affairs with Pyotr Alekseevich in the past. Confirmation that he is on the side of our oligarchic president is the fact that Petro Poroshenko’s son Alexey was elected as a people’s deputy in one of the constituencies of the Vinnytsia region, which in recent years, in fact, were under the control of the “clan” of the Groysmans and their associates. And while there are rumors in the media that Groysman could become the next Prime Minister of Ukraine, law enforcement agencies are not even itching to punish Boris Vladimirovich and his family members for old “sins.”
