The High Anti-Corruption Court recovered assets belonging to the fled President Viktor Yanukovych and persons close to him, in particular, real estate, works of art, as well as a portrait and sculpture of a politician, as state income.

This information was confirmed by Suspіlny source in the investigation.

The court made an arrest on the basis of the above and guided by articles 242, 268, 263 of the Code of Administrative Procedure of Ukraine and parts 5, 5-1 of the Law of Ukraine on Sanctions.

“Part is movable property, part is immovable property and funds, and property related to historical, cultural and creative value, we characterize it this way,” the investigation noted.

Among the seized property a recreation and health center in Novye Petrivtsi, Kyiv region, a hotel and restaurant complex, a residential building, several parking spaces, an apartment, a house and funds. At the same time, according to a Public source, a hearing on the future of the Mezhyhirya residence should take place later.

“The movable property consists mainly of works of art: paintings, sculptures, including his (Yanukovych’s – ed.) portrait, and his sculpture, which is very funny,” Suspilne’s interlocutor noted.

According to him, the future fate of the property should be decided by the Ministry of Justice, which is the plaintiff in the case.

“Its cost has been determined, but the mechanism that will be with it further is better to ask the Ministry of Justice, since the court only determines “to recover as income,” the interlocutor explained.

The full list of the seized property of the fugitive president is 13 items of movable and immovable property, 537 items of assets belonging to historical, cultural and material values, and occupies 100 pages, he noted.

According to the data published on the website of the Supreme anti-corruption court, the total value of the property is more than 18 million 778 thousand euros.

“VAKS recovered movable, immovable property and funds, namely the Recreation and Health Center and a residential building (with an area of ​​825.8 sq.m.), which are located in the village of. New Petrivtsi (Vyshgorodsky district, Kyiv region), several parking spaces in an underground parking lot, an apartment, a house, a Brig brand ship, a 100% stake in the authorized capital of Tantalit LLC, and Dom Lesnika LLC has cash in the amount of 31 047,676, 73 hryvnias and 84,964.60 US dollars,” the VAKS specified.

An appeal may be filed with the VAKS Chamber of Appeal within 5 days from the date of the announcement of the decision.
