Police detained the editor-in-chief of the newspaper VESTI Igor Guzhva during a rally in support of the publication.

“Three police officers forced the editor of VESTI, Igor Guzhva, into a car and drove away,” reports an APOSTROPH correspondent.

The rally took place near the Mystetsky Arsenal building, where the 11th Yalta Forum of European Strategy (YES) is taking place. Several people tried to break into the building, but security blocked the entrance to the premises. Later, the protesters moved to the sidewalk of Lavrskaya Street.

Let us recall that on September 11, the SBU carried out procedural actions in the editorial office of VESTI within the framework of criminal proceedings under the article for encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Igor Guzhva himself claimed that the reason for such close attention from law enforcement agencies was the publication of an article that the daughter of the head of the SBU, Olga Nalyvaichenko, lives in Manhattan – Guzhva spoke about the reasons for the search in the VESTI editorial office. + VIDEO
