Venediktova instructed to register the case against Trukhin

Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova instructed to register a criminal case against People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” Alexander Trukhin. As a result of the accident, six people were injured, including two children, as well as the head of the Committee of Referees of the Football Federation of Ukraine Luciano Luchi and his assistant. A few days after the accident, some media began to remove the information published about it. On August 31, the procedural leader in the case of an accident with the likely participation of Trukhin instructed investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation to further investigate this incident. Trukhin said that investigators and lawyers forbade him to comment on the progress of the investigation. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on this situation, said that if someone died in an accident involving Trukhin, he would no longer be part of the Servant of the People political force.
