Vadim Stolar. The scandalous “quiet one”

Recently, Yuriy Lutsenko, the head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, officially announced his unification with Vitaliy Klitschko’s UDAR. They will go to the elections together. In principle, knowledgeable people predicted this back in early to mid-August. The marker for them was the news about Vadim Stolar, who was supposed to head the Odessa headquarters of the BPP, according to one version, and the Kiev headquarters of the BPP, according to another version.

However, Vadim Mykhailovich himself denied this fact on his Facebook page, calling this information idle rumors. Maybe these are really rumors. But who is this Vadim Stolar? After all, this name will mean nothing to most people, except for those who live in Obolon, where he ran. Well, he is a very interesting character. The most interesting thing is that at different times he was involved in the loudest Ukrainian scandals, but somehow remained in the shadows.

Vadim Stolar. Blood Relatives

Stolar Vadim Mikhailovich from a fairly wealthy family, by all standards he is a “major”. But that is not the interesting thing, there are many “majors” in Kyiv. I wonder how exactly his family made money. His mother and father, Yana and Mikhail Stolar, own a number of companies, including the travel agency “Yana” named after his mother. This is not a simple travel agency. It was engaged in exclusive vacations for tax officials and prosecutors, among whom was the former Prosecutor General Svyatoslav Piskun. This business is the basis of another successful company, which belongs to Vadim Mikhailovich’s wife, Inna Maistruk. This firm is called “Universal Legal Company” and it deals with solving problems mainly with tax officials and prosecutors, who, as already mentioned, travel abroad inexpensively and efficiently thanks to the efforts of the travel agency of Vadim Stolar’s parents. Another business of our hero’s wife is the modeling agency “Metropolitan”. You will not find its website on the Internet, its models do not participate in serious shows, such as “fashion week”. In fact, it is a “roof” for an expensive escort service. And their phone number is known only to people who are “in the know” and have money.

Tell me who your friend is

Vadim Mikhailovich also has specific friends. At one time, he lived in Koncha-Zaspa in the house of Stepan Chernovetsky, the son of the then odious mayor of Kyiv. Chernovetsky Jr. and Stolar are partners in the capital’s business center 101 Tower. It is clear that the business partners received the land for such a project without problems and inexpensively. But his most odious friend is the crime boss Vyacheslav Fursa, known to the police as Slava Vyshgorodsky. In the wild nineties, he made a living selling stolen cars, but over time he organized several enterprises with Vadim Stolar. These include “Syayvo”, “Liga-M”, “Foodservice”, “NTC Diya”. These enterprises are engaged in various businesses, some of them are completely legal, some, like NTC Diya, used “gray” schemes in the oil products market, when crude oil was imported from Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism), and then in Ukraine they made seventy-sixth gasoline from it and sold it under the brand name of ninety-second. Once, Stolar Furs’s friend and partner killed a policeman while drunk. This is when the connections described above came into force. Svyatoslav Piskun personally covered up the criminal authority and pressured the court. He covered up. Slava Vyshgorodsky is still at large and is still Stolar’s partner. But Vadim Mikhailovich himself has gone on to new heights.

Vadim Stolar. The First Big Scam

Very large. According to some sources, it was 13.3 million euros, according to others, 55 million euros. Stolar had once cheated Konversbank for exactly this amount. The scheme was simple: the partners of the then owner of the bank, Vladimir Antonov – Strizhak and Tumovs, by proxy, introduced Vadim Stolar into the bank’s shareholders. They were not only shareholders, but also top managers of the bank, so they controlled everything in the bank. And then – a matter of technique, huge sums of money were withdrawn from the bank, and the bank itself was rewritten to their people. Then they demanded 17 million euros from Vladimir Antonov, promising to return the bank in this case. Antonov did not pay, and the bank went to Vadim Stolar.

It is still in operation, it just changed its name to CityCommerseBank. However, he turned out to be a lousy banker – now the bank has a temporary administration and is being prepared for liquidation. Perhaps the truth will emerge during these actions. Although, given the connections of the Stolar family, it is unlikely to become a problem for Vadim Mikhailovich.

The scam of the century

But Stolar’s greatest “achievement” was the scam with the construction company “Elita-Center”. Vadim Mikhailovich was one of the founders of this company. Moreover, through his firms Trading House “Vozrozhdenie” and “Elite-Boxing”, the money of construction investors was withdrawn and cashed. As a result of this scam, more than one and a half thousand people suffered. Vadim Stolar’s name appeared in the criminal case, but he denied his involvement in it. At the trial, he was… a witness. All the blame was placed on his partner Alexander Shakhov-Volkonsky, and he was the only one who went to jail “for his friends”, although it is clear to anyone that he could not have pulled off such a scam alone. They say that Stolar was then covered up by the same Svyatoslav Piskun.

Vadim Stolar. Politics and nothing personal

In 2007, Vadim Mykhailovych was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Party of Regions. But in 2012, he was unlucky. Apparently, there were not enough districts for all the “heroes of the Maidan” and Oleksandr Bryginets competed with him in his native Obolon. Stolar lost, but decided not to quarrel with the pro-government forces, congratulating his opponent on his victory even before the results were announced. Such humility, coupled with big money, was respected by the pro-presidential force. No, Vadim Mykhailovych was not taken into UDAR, he is too odious a person. But the political force of Vitali Klitschko put forward against him a certain Olga Lyulchak, an unknown girl who, in addition, had many candid photos on social networks. Well, then the victory and passage to the Kyiv City Council became, again, a matter of technique.

Today, Vadim Stolar is one of those “in charge” of the Kyiv budget, one of the “communicators” of the new government with the old one, one of the “casting managers” who selects deputies for local elections, and one of the “shadow people” of the presidential force’s headquarters. So we can safely say that not only officials, oligarchs and corrupt cops have come to power (or rather, have never left it), but also outright swindlers.
