United Russia publicly refuses iPhone and switches to Rostec smartphones

After Apple stopped selling its products in the official online store in Russia, State Duma deputies began defiantly to refuse the iPhone. So, United Russia members Maria Butina and Denis Maidanov said that they would now use AYYA T1 smartphones produced by Rostec structures.

“You know what, good gentlemen from Apple, but go through the woods! And you, my dears, become an eyewitness of the first contact of the deputy with the domestic smartphone AYYA T1,” Maria Butina wrote in her social networks and showed her new smartphone to subscribers.

In a conversation with a Znak.com correspondent, Butina said that she bought the phone herself, “no one [из единороссов] it was not distributed.” “I am literally in love with him! I have absolutely no regrets [на качество]. Even desktop themes are Russian! There are spikelets, our autumn forest. For 15 thousand rubles, the smartphone has an excellent camera. There is a “fingerprint” function, you can pay using your smartphone. Headphones included,” the United Russia deputy shared her impressions.

One of the features that Maria Butina liked the most was the ability to turn off the camera and microphone. “There are no analogues in the world. So baby Aya is the most reliable phone from prying eyes and ears!” Butina admires. True, experts do not share the MP’s joy and believe that AYYA T1 “cannot be considered secure”, because “turning off the cameras mechanically is not a reliable way” in itself.

Together with Maria Butina, Denis Maidanov, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, decided to abandon the iPhone and switch to a domestically produced smartphone. “Our Rostec will not let you down! I also became the owner of AYYA T1 and also advertise absolutely free. For the Motherland! Maidanov wrote.

The AYYA T1 smartphone is manufactured by Smartecosystem, which is registered in the federal territory of Sirius. According to the SPARK system, the ultimate owner of Smartecosystem is the state corporation Rostec. It was planned that the development would be delivered to the Ministry of Defense, Kommersant wrote.

AYYA T1 went on sale at the end of last year. The average cost is 15 thousand rubles. As planned by the developers, the smartphone should protect the owner from the collection of personal data just due to the function that Maria Butina liked so much. AYYA T1 is designed for a Russian processor and operating system, but so far they are foreign. So the device cannot be considered secure, experts say.

Of the domestic in the phone, only software that must be pre-installed by law.

Based on the characteristics of AYYA T1, we can say that the smartphone is significantly more expensive than, for example, similar phones made in China (they can be purchased for 8-9 thousand rubles).
