But what are the secrets here?
The source knows for sure that Nikolai’s phone is being “listened to”, and, of course, they can record his possible revelations in conversations with journalists. The threat – to end up in the dungeons again – is not quite a joke, but very real. Therefore, Nikolai Yuryevich does not risk communicating with reporters. It can be understood.
What, after all, caused such close attention of the special services to a seemingly ordinary member of society, a mere mortal from a football school? According to our Samara interlocutor, the servicemen were simply infuriated by the mass support of Nikolai Larin, primarily by his colleagues – pupils and coaches of the Chertanovo Academy, as well as by the general sports community. Famous football experts.
– There was, in fact, nothing to imprison Larin, – our Samara source concludes. – Here the Moscow City Court granted the appeal of Nikolai’s defense, replacing the real term of imprisonment with a suspended one. And the “roof” of the servicemen finally moved out. Now a continuous stream of threats: no interviews about your business, otherwise you will end up in jail again …
BACKGROUND OF THE CORNER
Nikolai Larin was arrested in the fall of 2021. According to investigators, for “theft of other people’s property by deception committed by a group of persons by prior agreement on an especially large scale.” Larin, according to the conclusions of the security forces, overestimated the number of pupils of the school, and for this matter he asked for more funds from the Moskomsport supervising Chertanovo. The head of the academy allegedly spent the funds allocated by the sports department for some unknown reason.
None of the people who knew Larin closely believed in such “conclusions” of the investigation. Therefore, they unconditionally supported a well-known children’s functionary in a difficult situation. There was no doubt about his honesty and decency.
Nevertheless, the Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow issued a tough decision: three years in prison in a general regime correctional colony. The prosecutor, meanwhile, demanded 4 years and 4 months in prison.
During the hearings, and after the announcement of the verdict, Larin was supported by now well-known football masters, pupils of the Chertanovo Academy: Zinkovsky, Umyarov, Glushenkov, Soldatenkov, Umyarov, Pinyaev, and others. They complied with the legal requirement against Larin from Moskomsport, repaying the amount of 20 million rubles.
Nevertheless, Larin, by a court decision, was sent to Butyrka in the autumn of last year for those same three years in prison. The conditions of detention, according to Larin himself, were suitable: there was even a refrigerator with a TV set in the cell. Nikolai, when given time, watched television broadcasts of football matches, primarily with the participation of the Samara Krylya Sovetov. After all, the team is still headed by coach Osinkin, there are guys from Chertanovo in the team.
After six months of imprisonment in Butyrka, the Moscow City Court granted the appeal of Larin’s defense. Instead of three years in prison, two years and six months of probation were appointed. Larin left the courtroom without handcuffs…
THE CRIMINAL WILL BE EXPIRED
“The information that has appeared that Larin works as the general director of Wings of the Soviets is complete nonsense,” says our Samara source. – Nikolai Yuryevich has his own company for laying football fields with artificial grass. – The scale is impressive, the company’s employees are equipping arenas all over the country. Including in Moscow, where Larin considered it necessary to leave. He also, on his own initiative, took up the analysis of the development of youth football in the Samara region. The topic is especially close to him from his work in the capital’s “Chertanovo”. He prefers to spend his free time with friends and his common-law wife. Haven’t had kids yet…
Of course, the story of the criminal prosecution left an indelible impression on Nikolai Yuryevich. Friends of the football leader recalled Larin’s recent story about one of his grandmothers. She once spent 18 years in Stalin’s camps as the wife of an “enemy of the people.” In part, Larin himself was made an “enemy of the people”.
