UKROP – Dnepropetrovsk patriots “in law”. UPDATED + VIDEO

On July thirteenth a congress of the new UKROP party was held. “Ukropovtsy” deciphers its name as “Ukrainian Association of Patriots.” And they immediately got into a scandal. It turned out that the logo of the newly formed party was stolen. It was created by the artist Andrei Ermolenko, and he had no intention of handing it over to any party. However, they decided to settle things “amicably” with the artist. Apparently, the habit of stealing is simply ineradicable among the newly-made “patriots”. They don’t even talk about it, but their biographies shout about it. And theft in these biographies is by no means the most serious crime.

So, the political council of the party, clearly created for local elections, included such “prominent” figures of the Dnepropetrovsk region as the former deputy governor of this region, Boris Filatov, and the former Odessa governor, Igor Palitsa. The party was headed by another patriot Gennady Korban. The party board was elected unanimously, which no one doubted. Let’s talk about the “members” first and then the “chairman.”

The most “unsullied” of all patriots is Denis Borisenko. However, he is nothing special. Apparently, these are the eyes and ears of another Dnepropetrovsk “patriot” Svyatoslav Oleinik. At least, it was as Oleynik’s deputy that Borisenko entered the Verkhovna Rada on the list of the “Ukraine of the Future” party. Then this party received eight hundredths of the Ukrainian votes. Svyatoslav Oleinik is a former Dnepropetrovsk prosecutor and former deputy from BYuT. True, he was expelled from Yulia Tymoshenko’s bloc in 2010 for voting in sync with the Party of Regions. Not only he was expelled, but also several other deputies who were part of the so-called “Andrei Portnov group” (more about him in the article Andrey Portnov: raider history). In general, the personality is not unambiguous. Apparently that’s why they decided not to take him to the political council, exposing his “young and handsome” comrade-in-arms Denis Borisenko to the public.

Denis Borisenko

People’s Deputy Andrey Denisenko also joined the political council of UKROP. He is best known for the fact that his assistant shot and killed a member of the Ukrainian Security Service, a fact Denisenko admitted. This story happened in the spring of this year. The then head of the SBU, Valentin Nalyvaichenko, accused Andrei Denisenko, Svyatoslav Oliynyk and Gennady Korban (note, all three are “patriots”) of organizing smuggling in the ATO zone, kidnapping people and involvement in the murder of SBU officer Dmitry Manzik in Volnovakha. According to Denisenko himself, the SBU officer was actually killed by his assistant Denis Gordeev. Allegedly, an accident occurred during the detention of three trucks with contraband, someone pulled on someone’s machine gun and a shot was fired. The case seems to be being handled by the General Prosecutor’s Office under the personal control of Viktor Shokin himself, but so far the matter has not gone further than the arrest of the three “switchmen”. Andrei Denisenko himself called this investigation “an attack on his team.” This is how he is a “fiery patriot”.

But let’s talk about the most interesting “dill”.

Igor Palitsa. Longtime colleague of Igor Kolomoisky in Privat. After an excellent career in the management of oil refineries, apparently, Igor Valerievich decided that Palitsa could work effectively in the government field. Therefore, he promoted him to the management of Ukrnafta. Here it should be recalled that this company is only 42% owned by the Privat group, the controlling stake belongs to the state. But Kolomoisky apparently decided that he had enough control over the general director to control Ukrnafta entirely. And here, apparently, they were satisfied with Igor Petrovich, since they sent him to conquer the next political peaks – this time legislative ones.

Palitsa entered the Verkhovna Rada on the NUNS list. True, going to parliament in the ranks of the “most patriotic bloc,” he publicly declared his readiness to cooperate with the Party of Regions. And, by the way, he cooperated. At least he definitely voted for the “Kharkov Agreement”, according to which the issue of the presence of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Crimea was resolved. We think there is no need to tell what this resulted in a few years later. And besides, Igor Petrovich voted for the “language law,” although the next day he changed his mind and began shouting that he didn’t vote and was abroad. But it’s unlikely that Palitsa is a systemic anti-Ukrainian. The fact is that, mainly as a people’s deputy, he lobbied for the oil and gas interests of his boss. And, quite possibly, the voting of the future “patriot” is a banal “change” for some business preferences for the Privat group.

In 2014, the same Kolomoisky, being the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration, promoted Igor Petrovich to Odessa governor. Here Palitsa “rolled the barrel” against his former friends from the Party of Regions. For example, he sent a letter to Prosecutor General Yarema, in which he accused Sergei Kivalov of separatism. The ODS website accused Igor Palitsa of financing the separatists of the DPR and LPR. They even named the amount that he transfers to the separatists – one million dollars a month. Allegedly, this money goes in exchange for the same oil and gas preferences in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism) and part of Lukoil’s assets. Be that as it may, on May 30, 2015, President Petro Poroshenko removed Palitsa and appointed Mikheil Saakashvili as Odessa governor.

Another no less “interesting dill” – Boris Filatov. Boris Albertovich is a lawyer, and he appeared so often in Privat’s court cases that the media “dubbed” him the in-house lawyer of this financial and industrial group. However, he always denied this. However, his closeness to Kolomoisky is indicated by the fact that he was the latter’s deputy in the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration.

In 2009, Dnepropetrovsk businessman Vyacheslav Braginsky was killed. And it was then that they started talking about the raider group Braginsky – Filatov – Korban – Axelrod, the companies Slavutich-Capital, MSK Ukraine – Canada and others. This “criminal quartet” was associated with the raider takeover of such enterprises as: Dnepropetrovsk Large Tire Plant, ATZT Concern “Vesna”, Dnepropetrovsk Regional Utility Enterprise “Oblvodokanal”, CJSC “Pridneprovsk Construction Management”, Dneprodzerzhinsk Construction Enterprise “Energohydromekhanizatsiya”, CJSC “Ukrainian radio systems” (TM “WELLCOM”), hotel and shopping complex “Ukraine” and others. Gennady Axelrod was also killed, later, in 2012.

The same group is associated with the showdown and murder of the people of Max “Mad” Kurochkin, with whom the future “patriots” did not share the markets and other enterprises of Dnepropetrovsk. They are also associated with the “squeezing out” of the property of ex-Prime Minister Pavel Lazarenko. Rumor has it that it was he who ordered the liquidation of Braginsky. And it was Boris Filatov who voiced a claim in the Zhovtnevy District Court of Dnepropetrovsk to remove Pavel Ivanovich’s parliamentary powers. Among the assets “squeezed” from Lazarenko, the group is credited with the Detsky Mir and TSUM stores, the Astoria Luxury Hotel and the European Hotel.

At the last elections, Boris Albertovich became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada. On his Facebook he called for the Crimeans to be hanged, we quote: “…And the last thing. No landings from the Maidan. No extremist statements. You need to give the scum any promises, guarantees and make any concessions. …And hang them… You have to hang them later.”

Boris Filatov

And finally, the chairman. Gennady Olegovich Korban. Also a “chick in Kolomoisky’s nest.” During the days of the latter’s governorship, he headed the apparatus of Igor Valerievich. Korban is called “the number one raider in Ukraine” and this seems to flatter him. Korban likes custom articles about him to begin with the words: “they call him raider number one, but he prefers to call himself a “conflict expert.” A good dozen articles about Gennady Olegovich begin with these words.

There were two attempts on Korban’s life. At different times, he associated these attempts with Kurochkin or Lazarenko. At one time he aggressively “squeezed out” the property of both of them together with Boris Filatov, which is written about in some detail above.

In December 2011, the Organized Crime Control Department of the Dnepropetrovsk region opened the “Agat” case against Korban. In response, Gennady Olegovich wrote a complaint in which he accused the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the GPU of trying to put pressure on businessmen, accusing the police of taking photographs of his real estate. Along the way, he somehow leaked the materials of this case to the media. Well, the best defense is attack, this is the philosophy of the Privat group. Now, after Gennady Korban worked as the “right hand” of the Dnepropetrovsk governor, traces of this operational investigative case, apparently, can no longer be found.

At one time, Gennady Korban in an interview with UP stated: “…Korban has never taken, does not accept and does not intend to take part in the political life of the country, city, village, whatever.” But this statement did not prevent him from settling in the Dneprpetrovsk Regional Administration, and when from there he and his boss were “turned” to lead a “small but very patriotic” party.

Gennady Korban

By the way, about the boss… Igor Valerievich himself does not seem to take any visible part in this game. But who will believe that at least four of his “junior partners” decided to create a political project without his, well, at least, blessing.

Igor Kolomoisky

What else? For the sake of beauty, they added to the UKROP political team an ATO hero, a wounded and miraculously surviving soldier, and now a volunteer, Evgeniy Terekhov (call sign “Jackson”), whom Gennady Korban took with him everywhere even when he was running for the Rada from the Chernihiv region. And for the sake of a “red speech”, journalist Dmitry Simansky was added to the same polytrade, who writes under the pseudonym “Dmitry Krikun”. And in general, it is impossible to assemble the entire political council from only criminals.

And instead of an epilogue… Wikipedia says that DILL is a monotypic genus of short-lived annual herbaceous plants. How does this relate to the party? Wait and see.
