The Basmanny District Court of Moscow until September 24 sent 22-year-old Ivan Trofimov and 21-year-old Alina Olekhnovich under house arrest in the case of participation in activities extremist organization. The files of the case appeared in the database of Moscow courts, information about the measure of restraint chosen by Mediazona was clarified in the press service of the court. Trofimova and Olekhnovich are students at the Higher School of Economics, according to the university website, both pass training in the profile of “cinema and video art” at the Department of Contemporary Art. On the eve of the detention of young people in his telegram channel, propagandist Vladimir Solovyov wrote. He also posted a photo of Trofimov being handcuffed. Solovyov claims that the students were detained on July 26. The propagandist called them activists of the “underground headquarters” of the FBK. He reported that they were sent to a pre-trial detention center, but the information about this was not confirmed. In the case of participation in the activities of an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), students face up to six years in prison.
