Turkey announces preparations for Putin’s visit

Akif Çağatay Kılıç, chief adviser to the Turkish President, told CNN Turk that preparations for the visit of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the country are ongoing.

According to him, negotiations are currently underway on the date of the visit. “Work in this direction is currently ongoing. In Russia, due to the internal situation, a schedule is currently being worked out,” he said.

Kılıç also said that there is no cooling in relations between the two states. Ankara and Moscow are actively working at the level of foreign policy and intelligence departments, negotiations on a grain deal are ongoing.

Earlier, the source said that the leaders’ meeting will take place on August 31. According to him, this date is now being agreed for the meeting, there are nuances left.

However, the interlocutor of the RIA Novosti agency said that there is no exact date for the meeting yet.
