The Tushinsky District Court found lawyer Timur Marshani guilty of fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code). He was sentenced to four years in a penal colony, Kommersant reports. Civil suit for 3 million rubles. from the former principals of the lawyer, the court left without consideration.

Businessman Rodion Aloets died without leaving an inheritance. His widow Natalya Aloets and her daughters Irina Moiseeva and Arina Aloets tried to enter into inheritance rights, and for this it was necessary to search for property (the deceased owned assets of about 1 billion rubles). To do this, they turned to Marshani.

In 2019-2020, the victims transferred to the lawyer, first 3 million rubles, and then another 17 million rubles. ostensibly as a fee for winning a number of civil cases. In fact, Marchani, according to the victims, simply embezzled the funds and did nothing in their interests.

Marshani’s defense denied this: the lawyer allegedly returned the money, and before the termination of the contract, he participated in good faith in civil cases for 200 million rubles, which were considered by the Solntsevsky and the same Tushinsky court. If the trustees had not refused his services, the outcome of these cases could have been different, says Marchani.

Previously, the media claimed that 20 million rubles. Marshani was allegedly handed over to the bribery of the judge, who nevertheless ruled not in favor of the client.

Timur Marshani is known for high-profile cases in the medical field and in connection with an accident. After suffering a stroke, he became disabled and was forced to stop practicing law and suspend his membership in the college.
