The candidacy of the former coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Shevchenko for the presidency of the UAF was nominated by the Zaporozhye Regional Association, writes Apostrophe.

Thus, according to Burbas, Shevchenko was nominated by the Zaporozhye Regional Football Association represented by its chairman, the odious ex-regional Viktor Mezheiko .
«Mezheyko wrote the corresponding statement in the office of the governor of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration and in the presence of the head of the security service of the region. I am by no means implying that the decision to nominate Shevchenko was made under pressure, I am simply stating the fact itself».
According to my information, they are going to elect the president of the UAF on December 20th. That is, in the very convenient period when the current head of Andrei Pavelko is being investigated. Hmmmm… But what about the decision of the Pechersk Court to ban elections in the UAF? It is still in operation. It is clear that in manual mode it can be canceled at any time. The main thing is only the desire and the availability of administrative resources. But there is still the charter of the organization, which spells out in black and white the terms in which, according to the law, it is allowed to hold an extraordinary Congress and elect its leadership. And in this case, they are completely violated. And here the big question arises whether such elections are recognized by UEFA and FIFA as legitimate.
By the way, Andriy Shevchenko himself is not happy that he is being promoted to the post, disregarding the laws. The ex-coach of the national team understands that this case clearly harms his reputation. We'll see, things will come to the December elections. To convene an extraordinary Congress for them, applications from at least 3/4 of the collective members are needed, and they must be submitted in the legal field.
And further. No less important is a nuance that should not be missed. Shevchenko is a resident of the UK, and this status obliges him to stay in this country for at least 183 days out of 365 in a calendar year. Managing Ukrainian football remotely is not the case, so you can’t sit on two chairs either. Here, either remain a resident and forget about the presidency, or vice versa. I wonder what Shevchenko will choose?», the journalist said.
As you know, Shevchenko did not leave the NOC, where a number of representatives of the pro-Russian Opposition Platform for Life and the «Party of Regions» promised to do it.
