On March 6, lawyer Nikolai Koshman was severely beaten near his house in Chelyabinsk. It happened two weeks before one of his most high-profile lawsuits went to trial. Koshman demanded that Aleksey Denisenko, one of the richest deputies of the regional legislature, be deprived of his mandate. Reason: in the declaration of income and property for 2021, Denisenko did not indicate the car and the company abroad. It is very likely that the deputy is still trying to sit on two chairs – as if 2022 has not yet arrived.
The plaintiff was unable to attend the hearing, the court refused to satisfy his demands. And a week later, the security forces detained one of the suspects in the attack on Nikolai Koshman. The organizers and customers of this crime have not yet been named. At the same time, as Versiya found out, the wife of Alexei Denisenko still owns a stake in a Czech real estate management company. 10 years ago, the same company was highlighted in a scandal involving the foreign assets of the family of the now former vice-governor of St. Petersburg, Vasily Kichedzhi. How are these two names related?
Vyshegrad Hotel
Milena Denisenko, wife of opponent Nikolai Koshman, is the daughter of Chelyabinsk businessman Nikolai Kichedzhi, who, in turn, is the brother of a former St. Petersburg official. The fact that Vasily Kichedzhi and his wife Antonina can own INCOM REAL sro and MILDEN, sro companies in Prague was reported by Delovoy Peterburg newspaper back in 2013. Even then it was known that INCOM REAL owns the Vysehrad hotel in the center of Prague.
The Opencorporates portal confirms that Milena Denisenko and Antonina Kichedzhi were involved in the creation of INCOM REAL sro in 2007:
The Czech Register of Companies provides more detailed information. INCOM REAL sro is registered at Francouzská 836/31, Vinohrady (Praha 2), 120 00 Praha. Fixed capital (Základní kapitál) – one million Czech crowns. Apparently, Milena Denisenko is currently the sole owner. If so, then Antonina Kichedzhi withdrew from the capital in April last year:
The source also indicates the company’s website: www.hotel-vysehrad.cz. In addition, the Czech portal, posting data about the company, shows the address: Marie Cibulkové 405/29, 140 00 Praha. The 4-star Vysehrad Hotel is located at this address. It is located in the center of Prague.
The second company of Milena Denisenko, MILDEN sro, is currently in liquidation:
The names of Denisenko and Kichedzhi also appeared among the founders.
It is likely that the decision to liquidate MILDEN sro is related to EU sanctions against Alexei Denisenko. “Europe is behaving towards Russia – to spite my grandmother I will get frostbite on my ears. This is their position. May God give them good luck,” commented the restriction deputy in his address. True, as we have seen, INCOM REAL sro, apparently the manager of the Vyshegrad Hotel, still functions and belongs to Milena Denisenko.
While the court and the case …
Against the background of the scandal surrounding the foreign real estate of the deputy in Chelyabinsk, rumors spread that the deputy’s wife allegedly permanently lives in Prague, and Alexei Denisenko decided to divorce her. We could not find information about the divorce in open sources, but if it really took place, it is very likely that we are talking about a forced formal step.
By the way, in the fall, the Chelyabinsk legislature recognized that Denisenko’s declaration was filled out with violations. The deputy escaped with an official warning. Lawyer Nikolai Koshman, who was beaten near his house, filed a lawsuit against the legislature, Alexei Denisenko appeared in it as a third party. According to the public “I’m leaving. Chelyabinsk”, shortly before the trial, the deputy was seen in the company of prosecutors in a coffee shop next to the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk, and then judge Ksenia Bukharinova allegedly walked along the corridors of the court along with a representative of the prosecutor’s office …
Two weeks before, Nikolai Koshman had been severely beaten. Coincidence? Maybe. But it raises too many questions. The situation looks like that Alexei Denisenko is trying to hush up the scandal both in Russia and in the Czech Republic. Here – due to a warning from colleagues, there – presumably due to a divorce from his wife.
In the old days, many representatives of the regional elites did not see the contradictions between doing business, holding a parliamentary mandate, and buying real estate abroad. Some of them seem to be counting on things to get back to normal one day.
