The underside of elite settlements: How migrants near Istra robbed a store and killed a cashier

Residents of the Moscow region are discussing a daring night raid on Pyaterochka, when the store manager and employees were severely beaten. One woman has died. Investigators find out who the criminals lived with.

A daring robbery took place the night before on February 8-9. The store was already closing when two raiders in black balaclavas, armed with wooden axes, broke into the Pyaterochka chain store in the village of Novopetrovskoye, not far from Istra, near Moscow. According to investigators, the bandits entered through the service entrance to unload goods under the guise of workers and the cashier herself let them into the store. Four citizens of Tajikistan aged 18 to 41 are suspected of the crime. All of them have already been arrested.

First, the bandits started beating the store manager, 43-year-old Natalya Pashkova, who tried to scream and call for help until she was threatened with murder. 51-year-old cashier Lyudmila Vyatkina refused to issue cash to the bandits, and the enraged criminals beat her to death with ax handles. It is interesting that the victim was not supposed to work that night, but went out to replace a colleague. Most companies have strict instructions from the security service: if there is a threat of attack, give away goods, money and personal valuables. Do not enter into negotiations and do not interfere with the robbers. But for some reason, the woman decided to resist, for which she paid with her life.

The video from the Pyaterochka surveillance camera clearly shows how the middle-aged Vyatkina is being mercilessly and cynically beaten. The wounded cashier tries to get up and falls unconscious again. Unfortunately, the brave woman did not survive and soon died from a head injury. The robbers, meanwhile, raked out the cash register and emptied the safe. According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the TFR in the Moscow Region, their production in total was 71,000 rubles.

The raiders had accomplices outside – one “was on the nix”, the other was driving a running car. When the robbers left the store, they noticed a car pulled up, driven by the director’s husband, 52-year-old Sergey Pashkov. He had just arrived to pick up his wife. The bandits beat him too, and then punctured the wheels of his car and fled the scene of the crime.

True, they did not have to walk for long: all four criminals were detained in hot pursuit, 50 kilometers from the crime scene in the village of Chesnokovo. All of them were foreign citizens. According to preliminary data, migrants at various times worked at construction sites near Moscow, but for the past six months they could not find work, living off odd jobs. Perhaps, with the stolen money, the bandits wanted to buy tickets to their homeland and leave Russia.

There are many migrants in the Istra district who go from house to house and country house in search of any job. They are attracted here by many elite cottages, where servants and workers are constantly required. A couple of years ago, the local administration even donated to the Muslim community the building of a community center in the village of Glebovsky for free use. After the indignation of local residents, the contract had to be terminated.

A criminal case has already been initiated on the night incident under Part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code (“Robbery”) and part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (“Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in death”). Punishment under these articles is up to 15 years in prison. The investigation of the criminal case is also under the control of the regional prosecutor’s office. Olga Vradiy, a representative of the Main Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, told Life that the department will also assess the control over the stay of migrant raiders in the Moscow Region.
