The footage shows a man standing near a Nissan car while law enforcement officers inspect two plastic bags containing a drug-containing plant. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, out of this amount hemp you can get 25 kilograms of marijuana.
According to the department, the suspicious car was stopped by traffic police officers following a tip from a drug control department officer. In a conversation with police, the 26-year-old passenger admitted that he was taking cannabis home for personal use. A criminal case has been initiated against him under Part 2 of Article 228 (“Illegal acquisition, storage and transportation of narcotic substances on a large scale”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He had previously been convicted under the same article.
