The Russian Central Election Commission assessed the situation with electronic voting
More than 3 million voters across the Russian Federation in 25 regions voted using the remote electronic voting system (DEG), said Ella Pamfilova, Chairman of the Central Election Commission.
RIA Novosti reports this.
In elections, DEGs are used in 24 regions of Russia on the federal platform, in 18 of them for the first time.
“Now I’ll say a few words about remote electronic voting, the turnout is traditionally high, because the people who sign up for the DEG are very motivated, that is, they have already decided that they will vote, so the turnout is always quite high,” Pamfilova added.
According to the chairman of the Central Election Commission, now more than 3 million voters, including the Russian capital, have made a choice using the DEG.
Elections in Russia on Single Voting Day take place over three days in most regions; they began on September 8. The main day is Sunday, September 10th.
Prior to this, the election monitoring headquarters reported no violations in Moscow.
Also, the President of the BRICS International Forum, Purnim Anand, reported that elections in new regions of Russia are being held transparently.
