Sergei Kirienko

Under sanctions: EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Ukraine, New Zealand

Assets: house and land in Spain

In 2020, the publication “Interlocutor” found that the son-in-law Sergei Kiriyenko, Andrey Ugnich, and the youngest daughter Nadezhda for several years posted photos on social networks from a vacation in the same villa in Spain on the Costa Brava in Catalonia. The Kiriyenko family vacationed there at least once or twice a year. Villa near the resort town of Palamos in a secluded bay belongs to the Spanish company Bell-67 Robert Gndolyan – a confidant of the Kiriyenko family. Important Stories found that Gndolyan’s company owns two more forest plots with a total area of 2.4 hectares.

Gndolyan is a classmate of the son of the deputy head of the presidential administration, both studied at the Higher School of Economics, as well as at Skolkovo. It was Gndolyan who passed the share of Kiriyenko Jr. in Sarovbusinessbank, which was founded by Kiriyenko Sr. Gndolyan became the director of Rostelecom’s subsidiary after Vladimir Kiriyenko took over as vice president of the parent company.

Sergei Kiriyenko is in charge of domestic politics and is considered an active supporter of the war. He is called the curator of Donbass: the deputy head of the presidential administration regularly visits the occupied territories, establishing local government.

Dmitry Peskov

Dmitry Peskov

Under sanctions: EU, UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, Ukraine, New Zealand

Assets: ex-wife and daughter’s apartment in France

In 2016, the ex-wife of the presidential press secretary, Ekaterina Solotsinskaya, and their daughter Elizaveta Peskova bought an apartment in Paris for 1.7 million euros, registering it with the French company Sirius. The apartment is located in the center of Paris on Avenue Victor Hugo, its area is 180 square meters. Solotsinskaya and Peskova could hardly have bought this apartment on their own; they did not have a comparable business in terms of income.

In June 2022, the European Union imposed sanctions on Elizaveta Peskova as the daughter of Vladimir Putin’s press secretary. A month before Peskov withdrew from the founders Sirius (by handing over his share to his mother) and may have saved the Paris apartment from sanctions.

Igor Levitin

Igor Levitin

Under sanctions: USA

Assets: brother’s wife’s nursing home in the Czech Republic, brother’s wife’s business in Cyprus

The foreign assets of the Levitin family were concentrated in the hands of the presidential aide’s brother, Leonid Levitin, and his family. In 2016, Leonid Levitin, his wife Nelya Levitina, as well as the children of Alexander and Igor Levitin received the citizenship of Malta.

Recently, the Levitins began to get rid of foreign assets, transferring them to businessman Karen Vanetsyan, the brother of the former head of the National Security Service of Armenia Artur Vanetsyan. We are talking about apartments in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic and a tourist complex on the coast of Montenegro – where, as “Important Stories” found out, Levitin’s brother’s companies were going to build up 16 hectares of sea coast with villas and a hotel, as well as Czech companies owning apartments in Karlovy Vary .

Alexander Smirnov

Alexander Smirnov

Not under sanctions: No

Assets: wife’s and mother-in-law’s apartment in Spain

Alexander Smirnov is the only senior member of the presidential administration who has foreign real estate in his declaration. “Important stories” managed to localize it: Smirnov’s wife, Anna Dycheva-Smirnova, and his mother-in-law Olga Dycheva own a 152-meter apartment in the small town of Castel Playa d’Aro on the Costa Brava in Catalonia.

Igor Komarov

Igor Komarov

Under sanctions: UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ukraine, New Zealand

Assets: daughter’s apartment in the UK

Daughter Igor Komarov, Maria, became the owner of a duplex apartment in London’s elite Belgravia district in 2013, when she was 22 years old and came to the UK to study design at the University of the Arts London. At that time, the apartment cost 4.2 million pounds (or 230 million rubles), which the 22-year-old student could hardly earn on her own. In 2017, Maria opened her own clothing brand Milo Maria and, judging by social networks, continues to live in the UK, which imposed personal sanctions on her father.

As presidential envoy to the Urals Federal District, Komarov is a member of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. Komarov attended the historic meeting of the Security Council on February 21, which considered the situation around Ukraine, the recognition of the LNR and the DNR, and at which Vladimir Putin legalized his decision to invade Ukraine militarily.

Yuri Chaika

Assets: winery in Italy

In 2017, FBK Alexei Navalny released an investigation “He is not Dimon to you”finding out that Dmitry Medvedev owns its assets through the “Dar” fund and its system of legal entities. A key role in this was played by Medvedev’s fellow student and his confidant, Ilya Eliseev. In addition to assets in Russia, investigators found one million square meters of vineyards, olive groves and forests in the Italian region of Tuscany from an offshore company associated with Eliseev.

“Important stories” made sure that companies associated with Eliseev continue to own the Fattoria della Aiola vineyards in Italy. […]
