Russian President Vladimir Putin appreciated the interaction of the CIS countries.
An informal meeting of the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States countries is taking place in St. Petersburg, a correspondent reports. DOPs.
During his speech, the President of Russia noted that one of the key areas of cooperation between the CIS states is the maintenance of security and stability in the common Eurasian region.
“Unfortunately, the challenges and threats in this area, primarily from outside, are only growing every year. We have to admit, unfortunately, that there are also disagreements between the member states of the Commonwealth,” he added.
Vladimir Putin believes that the main thing is that they are ready and will cooperate.
“And even if any problematic issues arise, we strive to solve them ourselves, together, jointly, providing each other with comradely assistance and mediating assistance,” the President of Russia noted.
Recall that in October, Head of State Vladimir Putin held a remote meeting with participants in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States.
He declaredthat over the past years, the Council has established itself as a highly demanded platform for discussing a wide range of professional issues, for developing strategic decisions.
