The new head of the frontline region of Chernihiv region Sergey Sergienko
On February 20, the President of Ukraine appointed Sergey Sergienko as head of the Novgorod-Seversk regional state administration. This seemingly ordinary appointment caused a quiet shock among the residents of the border region, writes Anticorrosive.
Even the day before, activists and a few sane people tried to get through to the head of state, focusing on the fact that Sergienko’s candidacy for the post of head of the military administration of the border region was extremely unsuitable. But the result, as always, was known in advance:
What did not suit the opponents of Sergei Fedorovich Sergienko and why do they think that he should not be appointed to this position under any circumstances?
The fact is that in addition to a very turbulent political biography, Sergei Sergienko managed to successively change several political forces: the People’s Front, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, For the Future, and has very strange connections with Belarus.
From “For the Future”, by the way, he was elected to the current composition of the Chernihiv Regional Council:
Interestingly, in the last convocation, Sergiyenko was a deputy of the same council, but from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc:
In this context, it is simply interesting – what arguments Sergienko managed to find for the current government, which hates everything connected with the sixth president, downright pathological hatred. Perhaps, he “washed away the “shame” of the BPP with blood, having defected to “For the Future”, stuffed with former regionals, who, unlike the “powder bots”, are very fond of on Bankovaya. Or maybe there was another reason. But the fact of appointment is obvious.
By the way, Sergienko is still listed as a member of the executive committee of the party of the hero of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn “People’s Party”. Which also characterizes the new appointee of Bankova.
This is the political component. Although it is difficult to call such things other than political prostitution, it also fades against the backdrop of the business of the new head of the Novgorod-Seversk RDA. Because whether it is the BPP, Servant of the People, or For the Future, these are still Ukrainian political forces, no matter what they already are.
But the fact that the representative of the President of Ukraine in one of the key border regions, which was liberated from the occupiers in April last year at the cost of the blood of Ukrainian soldiers, has a joint business with these occupiers, is no longer ridicule, albeit bitter.
The fact is that Sergei Fedorovich Sergienko, through his business partner Viktor Petrovich Nikiforenko, is connected with representatives of Belarus, who also actively participated in the occupation of the Chernihiv region and the Novgorod-Seversky region.
Victor Nikiforenko is an authorized person in Standard LLC, the beneficiary of which is Sergey Sergienko:
At the same time, Viktor Nikiforenko is the beneficiary of Region-RS LLC, co-owned by Belarusian citizen Smantser Nikita Pavlovich:
Communication, of course, mediated. But that’s not all – until 2019, Standard LLC included Novgorod-Seversky ZhEK LLC among the founders:
The owner of which is the partner of the Belarusian citizen and the current subordinate of Sergei Sergienko Viktor Nikiforenko.
This greatly strengthens the ties between these two people, both among themselves and with Belarus.
But that’s not all. If the case ended only with these firms, then everything could be written off as an accident. However, there are other connections as well.
The head of the Novgorod-Seversk regional military administration, Sergei Fedorovich Sergienko, has direct business with the Belarusians:
The private enterprise “SSF-Pinvich”, registered in Chernigov, has among its co-owners a citizen of Belarus, Yuri Sergeevich Firko. Yes, and the second co-owner – Alexander Smantser, although he is listed as a citizen of Ukraine, has a very similar surname to the beneficiary of Region-RS LLC, which is Belarusian Smantser Nikita Pavlovich.
To this we should add a few more details from the biography of the new head of the Novgorod-Seversk RVA, Sergei Fedorovich Sergienko. Being in 2018 the deputy head of the Chernihiv regional administration (according to Poroshenko’s quota, by the way), Sergienko distinguished himself by swearing in Ichnya, where the artillery depots of the pensioner who suffered from the explosion just exploded.

Well, a little about money. “Servants of the people” under the brand name of war promptly closed access to declarations, but in 2021 Sergiy Fedorovich Sergienko declared the largest cash in the regional council: almost 9 million hryvnia, currency – 1.88 million US dollars and funds placed on bank accounts – USD 1.9 million, EUR 0.5 million.
Since 2017, Sergienko and his family have been leaders in the assets item “Funds lent to third parties” – the total amount is UAH 43.9 million. Sergey and the family have a constant fleet of vehicles and have not changed it for six years. By the way, the family has a very large garage of 485 m2, but for some reason it disappeared in the last declaration.
The main conclusions from the declaration: the wife receives income from dividends, the family has two small houses of 90 m2 and 23.8 m2, they do not show large expenses, the percentage of shares in enterprises has almost doubled over the past two years.
Interestingly, Sergei Sergienko began declaring his fortune in 2015, when he came into politics from business. The family business is different, but today there are two areas: sawmilling and planing, road and motorway construction.
Against the background of all this, the question arises – are we so smart or are the SBU so stupid? Or did they submit all this information to the Office of the President, and he ignored the ties with the Belarusian state and signed the Decree on the appointment of an extremely suspicious person as the head of, in fact, the front-line region?
