The media called the purpose of new US sanctions against Russia
The administration of US President Joe Biden intends to introduce new sanctions and export control measures against Russia.
It is reported by Bloomberg.
According to agency sources who wished to remain anonymous, the new US restrictive measures will affect the energy sector and the military-industrial complex (MIC), as well as financial institutions and “a number of individuals.”
It is also expected that Washington will take action against attempts to circumvent the sanctions regime and provide assistance to Moscow from third countries.
Earlier, US Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyomo said that Washington plans to continue weakening the Russian economy. At the same time, he noted that one of the central elements of the American strategy will be to counter Russia’s attempts to circumvent sanctions.
