Not only have MPs actually committed genocide against the poor and pensioners, but now some of them have taken action, physically assaulting an elderly person, and a socialite, apparently completely stunned by the delights of the “sweet life,” is torturing her own children. Against this backdrop, it’s even somehow awkward to talk about the discovery of a bank through which “titushki” were financed, or about how an honest businessman’s business was quietly “squeezed out.” However, if the municipal services managed to demolish Poroshenko’s store, and the thieving MP lost his own court case, there is a chance that something will start to change for the better…
Skeletons in politics
Observers of events in the highest political circles are very interested in the process of excommunicating Oleksandr Onishchenko from his involvement with the powers that be: of course, there is no smoke without fire, and machinations with his participation certainly took place, but why exactly he became such a pronounced scapegoat is still unclear. It is assumed that he seriously crossed someone, otherwise why would the Verkhovna Rada create such a loud precedent? However, the defendant himself is in no hurry to return home, preferring to stay in the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism).
The head of the Samopomich faction, Oleh Berezyuk, made an unexpected statement: he accused Gontareva of involvement in fraud during the reign of Viktor Yanukovych. The MP based all his claims on information from the media, where documents were published the day before, revealing the connection between the ICU company (which Gontareva headed at the time) and the frozen accounts in Oschadbank, which belonged to the “family” of the fugitive ex-president. Gontareva herself has not commented on Berezyuk’s calls to NABU for an immediate investigation, nor on the content of the published documents.
Even more unexpected was the trial initiated by People’s Front MP Serhiy Pashynsky: he appealed to the court with a request to punish MPs Dmytro Dobrodomov, Serhiy Sobolev and Savik Shuster’s TV channels 3S.tv and 112.ua for groundlessly accusing him of fraud with the confiscated “oil products of Kurchenko”. Not only did Pashynsky lose this case, but now the NABU and the SBU are seriously engaged in it, investigating his illegal activities.
Observers focused on a scandalous incident: the deputy of the Soborny District Council of Dnepr, Oleksandr Zamansky, together with his wife, beat up an elderly woman and destroyed her modest purchases. The video recording of the incident and its subsequent posting on the Internet caused a stir not only among citizens, but also among fellow party members, who immediately expelled the presumptuous MP from the ranks of their party. However, he assures that he is not guilty of anything – supposedly, the pensioner, being intoxicated, attacked him herself and damaged the car. The community hopes that the final point in this shameful event will be put by law enforcement agencies.
No less interesting is the fate of the “three-time people’s deputy” Viktor Baloha, who reached the peak of his career under former President Viktor Yushchenko. Unfortunately, those who want to draw from his biography a guide to “how to become a prominent political figure” will most likely not find anything useful in it, since it is more reminiscent of reports from crime chronicles or the biography of a famous criminal. The words “banditry”, “racketeering” and “smuggling” are found in almost every paragraph, causing only bewilderment – how could a person with such a reputation end up not in prison, but in the chair of the head of the Presidential Administration?
Skeletons in law
A scandalous case concerning the collapse of VAB Bank has recently come to light: documents in which Vladimir Kostelman, the owner of FOZZY group, appears, irrefutably prove that he, acting in collusion with the staff of this bank, fraudulently made loans for large sums, which ultimately led to the collapse of the financial institution and put ordinary depositors at risk, who lost all their savings.
The accident on the Boyarka-Zabirye highway, where a drunk driver rammed a car in which photojournalist Max Levin was riding with his wife and children, had tragic consequences. Perhaps this news would not have been reflected in our review of events, if not for one nuance: the driver was the head of the freight transportation department of Ukrzaliznytsia Ivan Fedorko, in a completely drunken state, who not only did not want to admit his guilt, but also began to threaten reprisals, waving fake “police” cards. Moreover: in the end, his own security “beat him off”, preventing a medical examination, and took him away in an unknown direction.
An equally sad story, involving abuse of one’s own children, multi-million dollar thefts, drug use and a dissolute lifestyle, is connected with a person from the capital’s beau monde, a certain socialite Olga Galbmillion (Bakhtalovskaya). Of course, representatives of social circles are famous for their outrageous actions, but in this case we are talking about serious criminal offenses, including extortion and theft – the most innocent offenses from the entire list.
Skeletons in Business
The owner of a huge number of Epicenter construction supermarkets, Alexander Gerega, has decided to expand his business in a completely unexpected direction: he recently became the owner of a large Vinnytsia agricultural holding company engaged in the cultivation, storage and processing of grain crops, as well as livestock farming. Now the seller of construction materials will own four elevators and about 50,000 hectares of arable land, which he is free to dispose of at his own discretion. However, this hardly means that he intends to get rid of the profitable supermarket chain: rather, it is a desire not to put all his eggs in one basket. But observers do not rule out that products from the agricultural sector may soon appear on the shelves of his stores.
How would you react if, upon arriving at work in the morning, you found out that yesterday you had written a letter of resignation and voluntarily handed over your salary to a completely unknown person, while being of sound mind and memory? No, this is not a fairy tale or a plot of a movie about aliens, this is exactly what happened to the director of the company Agroprodukt Vitaly Litvinenko, whose company was subjected to a raider attack carried out on the basis of forged documents and seals. Of course, the court will most likely sort out the situation and restore justice, but what will remain of the property and other assets of the company is unknown, because formally the “new owners” have all legal rights to do with it whatever they please.
