In the Chernivtsi region, law enforcement officers detained the director of the Khotynsky National Park for a bribe of 65 thousand dollars. About this reported Office of the Prosecutor General on Friday, October 11.
The investigation established that the official made money by unexpectedly leasing the land of a natural reserve fund. And he covered up his illegal actions with many agreements on foreign countries, the conclusion of which required entrepreneurs taken.
“Law enforcement officers detained the official in his office after receiving 65 thousand US dollars. For these funds, he asked the copyright holder to lease three plots of land with an area of ​​0.48 hectares for the development of a recreation center,” the report says.
The director filed a complaint about suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits (Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Currently, he has been chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention with the alternative support of bail in the amount of 2 million hryvnia.
Earlier it was reported that in the Odessa region a deputy of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district council was exposed, who demands 20 thousand dollars from the entrepreneur for minor observance of the “land issue”.
