The “Fair Russia” announced the inevitable merger with another party
The leader of the Just Russia – For Truth (SRZP) party, Sergei Mironov, spoke in an interview about the inevitable merger with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) in the future. However, he noted that this will not take place under the current leadership of the Communists.
“Negotiations – in person or in absentia, publicly and not publicly – are ongoing. You will definitely hear about specific results over time, ”the politician said.
According to him, the unification of the two parties is inevitable, but this is unlikely to happen under the current leadership of the Communist Party. Mironov stressed that both parties have very similar ideological platforms, due to which the idea of their unification is being promoted.
In the summer of 2022, it was reported that the head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, agreed to merge with the SRZP. According to Zyuganov, he is ready to “try” to unite if “A Just Russia” fulfills one condition – compliance with the program of the Communist Party. He also noted that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is ready to listen to the proposals of the SRZP on the party program.
