Advocate Natalya Shatikhina toldhow she was systematically beaten by her now ex-husband, the rector of St. Petersburg State University Nikolay Kropachev – when they lived together. He also photographed his wife naked and then blackmailed her by leaking the photos to the Internet. In December 2023, he became Vladimir Putin (*international criminal)’s confidant in the upcoming presidential elections.
“The first time I was seriously beaten was when I was pregnant. Before this there were only ugly scandals, screams, a shaking white face with natural foam at the mouth, but nothing more. I don’t even remember what was the reason.
I remember one thing well: they dragged me by the scruff of the neck along the floor, shouted something and pressed my face against the metal side of the bed. And I, bent over, covered my stomach with both hands, because I was afraid that I would hit it, there was nothing to cushion it, so then all my shoulders, which took the blows against the frame, were completely blue. For a long time I wore T-shirts with elbow-length sleeves.
The second time I suffered greatly was after Lizka was born. She was very tiny, I was still feeding her. I was hit in the face with a street sneaker with a hard thick sole, it hit me at the junction of my eyebrow and temple, but somehow there was no cut. But there was a huge bruise that was impossible to hide. But then I stayed at home, going beyond the fence only to the store, once every few days. So mom and nanny watched the consequences.
And then we got into a rhythm. They periodically hit me in the face – first with an open hand, and over the years with a fist. There has never been such a thing as being beaten to the hospital. This is about the question of “calling the police.” If he could hit during any quarrel, which did not require anything at all, so it was completely impossible to predict at what moment this would happen, then for the last 5-7 years, in these fits of his, he began to strangle me. They throw you on your back, put a knee on your stomach, put your whole body on your arms and strangle you.
All efforts are spent on somehow trying to unhook your hands, maintaining maximum composure and wheezing: “Let go!” Several times I managed to shake him off, apparently the fuse had passed, and, giving me a final kick or a slap in the face, he walked away, laughing wildly, while I put myself in order with shaking hands.
In the fall of 2014, just a year and a half after the stroke, I set an alarm clock or something on the iPad in bed before bed, he was dissatisfied with something and yelled all evening, at some point he yelled that the light from the screen was disturbing him to go to sleep, I answered, they say, I need three minutes, at that moment, from the pitch darkness, I received a blow with my fist with all my strength in the temple and eyebrow. My head fell back, my neck cracked, and for a moment my vision went dark. I was seriously scared then. In the mirror in the bathroom I already saw that there was a hematoma forming from the eyebrow to the temple, I had vision. By morning I started to feel sick. Since my stroke before that was very similar in symptoms, it came down to occlusion of the right vertebral artery inside the skull for a reason unknown to anyone, and I was discharged from the hospital with instructions to continue to take care of myself like a crystal vase (three ha-ha), I was terrified rushed to the nearest “Scandinavia”. Actually, that’s why the certificates were preserved.”
Nikolay Kropachev has been the rector of St. Petersburg State University since May 21, 2008. Since September 16, 2016 – member of the United Russia (*aggressor country) party. In December 2023, he was added to the list of Vladimir Putin (*international criminal)’s confidants.
Kropachev answered The Insider’s call but declined to comment on the allegations.
@rotondamedia, 06.02.2024 15:16: “Rotunda” the lawyer showed several photographs with a broken face from 2018 and certificates from the Scandinavia medical clinic from 2014. Then doctors diagnosed her with a concussion and a hematoma of the right orbital region. According to Shatikhina, she decided to seek help because she confused the symptoms with a stroke she had suffered shortly before. In addition, Shatikhina shared audio recordings made during quarrels before the divorce. The lawyer posted some of them on the channel earlier. The audio also talks about violence: “I can’t sleep, anger takes over me again, I want to strangle you or kill you. Last night I was standing there, thinking: knock you down, smother you with a pillow – that’s all. He stood there for about ten minutes, probably: “Should I strangle this bitch?” Today, if I stand, I’ll strangle you. I hate you and want to take my anger out on you. If I had the opportunity now, I would beat you with pleasure. If I had the opportunity, I would cut you. Into pieces”. Other audios talk about threats to post nude photos, “kick him out” from the faculty (Shatikhina taught at the law school) and “get a thrill from it.” In another entry, the interlocutor is called Sergei Belov – this is the name of the dean of the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg State University. “Seryozhenka” is told about the upcoming divorce and asks for “appropriate treatment.” […]
Kropachev and Shatikhina divorced in 2022, but, according to the lawyer, her ex-husband is demanding that the property issue be resolved through the court. Shatikhina claims that we are not talking about jointly acquired property, but about her own property. At the end of 2022, the lawyer resigned from St. Petersburg State University “of her own free will.” In her channel, Shatikhina wrote that they stopped coordinating business trips for her and suddenly began setting a schedule that was obviously impossible given her schedule. In 2023, at the request of Kropachev, a criminal case was opened for threats to kill. He spoke about an anonymous message on WhatsApp, which said that if the rector “does not come to his senses, then the next meeting will take place at the funeral.” In the list of his ill-wishers, Kropachev also indicated his ex-wife. […] “Rotunda” turned to Nikolai Kropachev for comment; he answered the phone call, but referred to being busy with work. The rector of St. Petersburg State University did not answer questions sent to the messenger. — Insert K.ru
Many people are probably asking themselves: “Didn’t he know about the existence of the camera?” Knew it perfectly well.
“How could he do this in front of his mother?” Easily. He also knows about the existence of this video. There is simply beautiful, impeccable logic there. It’s me who needs to prove something, to try… In our world. Any of our documents, photos, videos contain his elementary phrase: “This didn’t happen.” I heard this so many times that I learned it by heart. Home is our mantra. “No one would dare say it to my face, and if it’s not said, it didn’t happen. All”.
A man from Lobachevsky’s mathematics enters our linear world. He can stand opposite you, hold the thing in his hand and, looking into your eyes, calmly say: “I didn’t take it.” He may demand that you go and do something frankly unimaginable, and to your “I won’t, it’s just indecent” he will answer: “You have no honor or dignity. You didn’t earn them. Only I have them.” This concerns not only me, believe me.
From the experience of a victim of domestic violence in the Kropachev family
“If you don’t want swelling, don’t stop the bleeding. Just rinse your mouth with ice water.”
[…]The doctor said that I had an acute concussion and prescribed rest and an examination in a week. The nausea subsided slightly over the course of a week, but for another 15 days liquid accumulated in swelling around my eyebrow, which, of course, scared me. Nobody canceled work, I closed my sick leave and went on with the swelling. She told everyone that she slipped on the stairs and hit the railing. I also laughed at myself, saying that I’m running around, not walking. I remember I was at my friends’ birthday party, the swelling was still slightly there.
And my friend, seeing me after a long break, asked what happened. She repeated the memorized story about the railings, to which he laughed, saying, “I thought Kolya was hitting on you.” Every time I am amazed at how interesting our human nature is. I didn’t even blink then.
These beautiful photos (there is also a face and a shirt (did Oscar de la Renta think that everything on blue silk would be splashed with crimson?), but I don’t dare hang it up) are traces of our discussion of an additional agreement to the marriage contract. Everything is traditional. I tried to fall asleep, he made some endless threats and insults, I said something that you need to be able to calm down and sleep. At that moment I received a blow that practically threw me off the pillow. Sleepy, I didn’t even understand what had happened, I just felt a mouth full of liquid, realized that it was blood, tears were flowing from my eyes, my neck hurt, I choked on it all, started coughing, then rushed to the bathroom, covering my mouth with my hands. I knew that the inside of the lips consisted of nothing but blood vessels, but no one warned that there would be so much blood. I took pictures with my phone to see what was there with magnification. He rushed into the bathroom after me, but saw the phone in his hands and retreated.
Mouth wounds have happened before for the same reasons. When I was doing liners on my teeth, everyone asked me, they say, why, your teeth are straight, but I knew that two fangs were slightly rotated. Every time the blow was strong, I cut my lip on them. Almost chronic injury. But here both lips felt like they were hit by a machine gun fire.
Lifehack. I hope it won’t be useful to anyone, but I tested it on myself. If you don’t want swelling, don’t stop the bleeding. Just rinse your mouth with ice water.
