The Leninsky District Court recovered from a famous businessman Malika Gaisina, nicknamed “master of the Urals”, 690.2 million rubles. He is accused of stealing funds entrusted to him – 333 million rubles, which, according to investigators, he transferred in the form of loans to the accounts of controlled organizations. And thereby caused damage to Rostec and the state.
On February 2, the court considered the civil claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office against the entrepreneur. Now he will have to pay 93.7 million rubles – this is his debt to the Ural electrical connectors plant Iset, which arose during the time when Gaisin headed this company.
To the same amount were added interest for the use of loans, interest on loan agreements and fines for violating the terms of repayment. And of course, the enterprise’s lost profits for 2022 (namely: more than 58.7 million rubles). In addition, another 232.1 million rubles were recovered from Gaisin for abuse of power. He will also have to pay more than 399.4 million rubles for the fact that he did not engage in technical re-equipment of the plant and did not develop the enterprise. In other words, this is a fine for lost profits by a businessman.
All this money will go to the state.
Malik Gaisin is the founder of the Central Ural Joint Stock Company. The entrepreneur took part in the elections for the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, where he received 4.89% of the votes, and from 1995 to 1999 he was a deputy of the State Duma.
Several criminal cases have also been opened against the entrepreneur for “Abuse of Power” (Part 1 of Article 201), “Embezzlement on an especially large scale” (Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism)).

Gaisin knew for certain that the loan agreements planned to be concluded with these organizations were interested-party transactions. He disposed of the stolen funds at his own discretion,” the indictment says. According to the investigation, Malik Gaisin transferred the funds received to an account in the Vyatich bank, of which he was the founder. The investigation also believes that in 2019, Malik Gaisin stole 30 million rubles. by embezzling funds from the accounts of the Iset plant. He transferred money to the account of Borj LLC, an affiliated company (the company provides financial services) under the pretext of contributing funds to the authorized capital.
