The combined wealth of the 25 richest Russians has decreased by $60 billion since the beginning of the year

This happened against the backdrop of a special military operation carried out by Russian troops in Ukraine.

As of early August, the combined wealth of the 25 richest Russian businessmen amounted to $322.57 billion. Since the beginning of the year, against the background of the well-known events in Ukraine, it has decreased by $60.25 billion. This information is provided by Prime with reference to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranking of billionaires.

According to Bloomberg, the top five richest Russians currently include Vladimir Potanin, Leonid Mikhelson, Vladimir Lisin, Alexei Mordashov and Alisher Usmanov.

Vladimir Potanin, unlike most other Russian billionaires, managed to increase his fortune by $691 million, and now it stands at $31.6 billion.

Leonid Mikhelson has lost $5.73 billion since the beginning of the year, now his fortune is estimated at $26.7 billion.

Vladimir Lisin’s fortune has decreased by $5.5 billion over the past eight months. It currently stands at $22.5 billion.

Most since the beginning of the year – 8.2 billion dollars – Alexey Mordashov lost. Now his fortune is estimated at 20.6 billion dollars.

Alisher Usmanov’s losses amounted to 894 million. He now has a fortune of $20.4 billion.

In addition to Potanin, Andrey Guryev (plus $2.58 billion), Tatyana Bakalchuk (plus $1.15 billion) and Andrei Skoch (plus $218 million) were able to increase their fortunes.

In addition to Mordashov, the most significant losses were suffered by Gennady Timchenko (the fortune of a friend of the Russian president decreased by 5.81 billion), Roman Abramovich (minus 5.98 billion) and Viktor Rashnikov (minus 4.92 billion).

On February 23, the day before the start of the so-called special military operation in Ukraine, there were 23 Russians in the Bloomberg billionaire rating, their combined fortune was $342.74 billion.
