The website of an online store that supplies goods for prisoners announced the rebranding of the name from “fsinmagazine.rf” to “sit-eat.rf”. Such an announcement appeared today on the main page of the Internet resource, after which it scattered through many media outlets. In an interview with Daily Storm, the site’s owner and director of the company Alexei Meshcheryakov said that he did not expect to receive such attention to the new name.
“We decided to become a little more modern. There was no name competition. Actually, everyone who works here – we are the creators of this name. We did not expect such a stir, we did not think that it would be like this. It’s not very pleasant to wake up popular one day. Now I don’t know if such glory is needed? We thought that there would be both positive emotions and negative emotions for someone. But in any case, whatever one may say, it is an emotion. We thought it would be memorable. This (name. – Note. Daily Storm) is unusual and relevant, ”said Meshcheryakov.
Another reason why I had to change the name of the site is scammers, the owner of the online store continues.
“There are a lot of clones who act under our name and, in fact, try to fulfill some obligations there somehow in bad faith on our behalf. We cannot fight them – they multiply and multiply, ”says Alexei Meshcheryakov.
For the same reason, the company decided to leave the site’s logo the same, because, according to the source of the Daily Storm, “it is already known in certain circles.”
At the same time, the company does not expect an increase in sales against the background of the interest in the site, says Meshcheryakov.
“Well, what does it mean to increase sales? Will more people sit down? Well no. You can increase sales only at the expense of additional people who will arrive. I don’t think that now, because of this, someone will say: “Put me down, I also want to become a Sit-Eat client.” We do not count on a crazy increase, ”the merchant sums up.
After the end of the rebranding, Meshcheryakov promised to start a Telegram channel for the website, where he announced “a lot of interesting things.”
According to TASS, earlier the Federal Penitentiary Service analyzed online stores and concluded that about 30 services use the name of the service illegally. After the appeal of the department, the companies began rebranding.
