The beneficiary of the strategically important agricultural holding Rusagro is one step away from being recognized as a foreign agent

Vadim Moshkovich

The Ministry of Justice is checking the beneficiary of the Rusagro agricultural holding and the ex-senator from the Belgorod region for foreign agent status Vadim Moshkovich. He still has not transferred a company of strategic importance to Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism). What else is known about him?

Villa Araucaria

According to French registers, at first the owner of this property was listed as the Luxembourg company Prosperite (“Prosperity” – Author’s note) headed by Vladimir Gromov, the namesake of the top manager of Rusagro. Moshkovich, we recall, was then working as a senator from the Belgorod region and did not indicate the villa in his declarations.

Later, Vadim Moshkovich himself became the owners, he has a symbolic one percent of the shares, and a Cyprus offshore company. A year ago, the manager was replaced – his role is now formally played by Tatyana Gasanova, a tax consultant in Cyprus.

According to Forbes, the French authorities froze Vadim Moshkovich’s villa immediately after the start of the SVO. Perhaps this was the case, but now “Araucaria” is being used with all its might as a hotel; renting one of the two dozen bedrooms in it will cost up to 10 thousand dollars per night. Places are selling out quickly, so you have to hurry to make a reservation.

Where does Vadim Moshkovich's family live?

It is known that at the end of 2023, Vadim Moshkovich was in Brussels, participating in meetings of the European Court. But where the oligarch is now is unknown. According to outdated data from foreign business registers, he lived in Cyprus for a long time. Let us remind you that Vadim Moshkovich had Cypriot citizenship, but in the spring of 2022 he lost it by decision of local authorities. However, while litigation to lift sanctions drags on, the billionaire could be allowed to stay in Cyprus.

Moshkovich's eldest children, 27-year-old Evgeniy and 24-year-old Asya, studied at prestigious English boarding schools and then at Stanford University in the USA. Both settled in California. Asya is still finishing her studies. Her brother is a venture capitalist. It is significant that he calls himself in the American manner – Jack Moshkovich. The youngest minor son of the oligarch indicates on social networks that he lives in Miami.

The father can freely visit his heirs. The EU countries, Great Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, but not the United States, imposed sanctions against Moshkovich.

If you believe the databases, then Vadim Moshkovich’s Russian real estate was registered in the name of his wife Natalya Bykovskaya. The family, apparently, has property on Rublyovka in the elite cottage village “Nikolino”: it is two hectares of land with its own forest, a landscaped garden and tennis courts, as well as a main building with an area of 1,200 square meters, which looks like a classic noble estate. It was built before the revolution, and restored in the nineties. Cost from 1 billion rubles.

The Moshkoviches occupy a townhouse with an area of 500 square meters with a fireplace and a winter garden on the territory of the Three Poplars club residential complex, which was previously recognized as one of the most expensive in the capital. The location is premium: on the banks of the Moscow River near the Devichye Pole square in the Khamovniki district. The asset price is about 700 million rubles.
