The Anti-Corruption Court considered and granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of the duties imposed on the suspects.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court extended until March 6 the term of duties assigned to businessmen Boris Kaufman and Alexander Borukhovich (Granovsky). Their NABU and SAP are suspected of creating a criminal organization in Odessa.
Such decisions were made on February 3 by the VAKS, reports “Word and deed“.
As you know, the Anti-Corruption Court concluded detention of businessman Kaufman with an alternative of UAH 129 million. These funds were contributed and he left the pre-trial detention center under the following duties: to arrive at the first request; to inform in advance about each excommunication from the cities of Odessa and Kyiv; report a change in your place of residence; refrain from communicating with suspects and witnesses; wear an electronic bracelet and deposit your passport. The SAPO prosecutor asked for an extension of the term of duty.
“Extend the duration of the obligations imposed by the decision of the investigating judge of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of December 7, 2022 on the suspect (Boris Kaufman – ed.) until March 6, 2023“, the decision says.
The VAKS also extended until March 6 the term of the duties assigned to Borukhovich. The businessman has similar responsibilities. Unlike Kaufman, he was obliged to report on each excommunication from the city of Odessa, indicating the route of movement and the necessary time to return to his place of residence, including visiting religious shrines.
Recall that on December 5, 2022, NABU and SAPO detained businessmen Kaufman and Granovsky. According to the investigation, in the fall of 2021, after the NABU detectives and SAPO prosecutors exposed a criminal organization that specialized in corruption schemes for the illegal disposal of property from the communal property of Odessa, a new one appeared in her city.
Kaufman and Borukhovich extended the arrest
This organization took control of almost all issues of the economic life of the city, including interaction with developers, purchases at the expense of the local budget, the activities of public utilities, and other aspects of interaction with business. To ensure the uninterrupted implementation of the goals set, the organizers set up a process of systemic bribery of officials and deputies of the local council, as evidenced by the evidence obtained by NABU and SAPO during the investigation.
