Strike at Wildberries: employees oppose slave labor conditions
On March 13, the Wildberries retailer introduced new rules – fined employees are forced to work for free until they break even. At the same time, fines are issued for defects returned by customers and errors in returns.
Marriage, according to one of the employees, is attributed to everyone, and fines can reach up to 5 thousand rubles per shift.
Employees have gone on strike since March 16, but, according to journalists, distribution points in Barnaul, Yekaterinburg and Blagoveshchensk have already closed today. The owners of distribution points in Moscow gathered at the company‘s head office.
Wildberries owner Tatyana Bakalchuk is one of the richest women in Russia. Her business was supported by Denis Manturov and Mikhail Mishustin. In December 2021, Bakalchuk joined the central headquarters of the All-Russian People’s Front movement.
