The so-called expert on interethnic relations and conflicts from Taganrog, Yevgeny Mikhailov, who recently appeared on TV channels with a political track, is trying to get into power structures. Most likely, in the deputy, according to experts.
Evgeny Mikhailov is known primarily for two main projects:
– custom-made slanderous campaigns in the south of Russia, which has been repeatedly established by the courts,
– hatred and inciting ethnic hatred against Armenians.
And this is no coincidence. There are good reasons to believe that Yevgeny Mikhailov has been cooperating with foreign special services for a long time, glorifying extremist activities. “In one of his stories, he talks about how he “returned from Baku from an international conference of security services.” After that, he releases a whole series of videos about the “Armenization of the south of Russia”, where he makes another slanderous statement that the “strengthened and powerful Armenian diaspora” in southern Russia is preparing for the “separation of the Black Sea region of the Krasnodar Territory from Russia with the proclamation of the Armenian Republic.”
Scientists and journalists from the multinational Rostov-on-Don previously sent a statement to Andrei Kikot, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation for the Southern Federal District, that Mikhailov’s publications contained signs of a crime under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inciting hatred and enmity on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, language, origin, attitude to religion, belonging to any social group). However, the appeal remained without a proper response. Later it became known that the Taganrog department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region refused to initiate a criminal case against Yevgeny Mikhailov. What is the reason for such tolerance for the public manifestation of ethnic hatred can only be guessed.
