The Industrial Court of Izhevsk sentenced the former head of Gazprom Spetsgazavtotrans Vladimir Tumaev to five years suspended sentence with a three-year probationary period in a case of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, informs on Tuesday the joint press service of the courts of Udmurtia.
Earlier it was reported that Tumaev was accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 33, paragraph “a” part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation reported that he organized an attempted murder in Izhevsk of a 57-year-old acquaintance of a businessman, with whom he had been litigation on the basis of mutual property claims. During the attack on March 15, 2017, the victim received two gunshot wounds. As a result of timely medical assistance, he survived.
“The court sentenced Tumaev to a five-year suspended sentence with a three-year probationary period,” the statement reads. The court took into account Tumaev’s advanced age, his severe chronic diseases and disability. Another person involved, who was accused of committing a crime under paragraph 5 of Art. 33, paragraph “a” part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, received seven years probation with a probationary period of five years. “The claim filed by the victims for compensation for moral damage caused by the crime was partially satisfied by the court, recovering 700,000 rubles from the convicts in favor of the victim,” the court added. The verdict did not enter into force.
Kommersant.Ru, 07/13/2022, “Football veteran suspended conditionally”: When determining the punishment for Dmitry Litvinov, the state of his health and the presence of young dependent children were indicated. […] The verdict did not enter into force. It is not yet known whether the parties will dispute it. Vladimir Tumaev tried to collect a large debt from his partner and received a counterclaim. […]
Then, according to investigators, Vladimir Tumaev decided to deal with the ex-partner by hiring performers for this. Based on the materials of the case, he turned to an acquaintance, Dmitry Litvinov, offering a monetary reward in the amount of 300 thousand to 350 thousand rubles. According to investigators, Dmitry Litvinov found two henchmen and agreed on a plan of attack with Vladimir Tumaev. He, in turn, provided the performers with money for current expenses and transferred 100 thousand rubles as an advance payment.
Initially, the incident was investigated by the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Izhevsk under the article on hooliganism (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code), but then the prosecutor transferred the criminal case to the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR). Charges were brought against Vladimir Tumaev under Part 3 of Art. 33, part 3 of Art. 30, p. “g”, p. “h” part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of an attempted murder committed by a group of persons for hire), but was later reclassified. In September 2019, he himself called the accusations a lie. His lawyers insisted that the attack on Mr. Styazhkin was carried out not by killers, but by hooligans with whom their client had nothing to do. — Inset K.ru
From 1984 to 2009, Tumaev headed the Gazprom Spetsgazavtotrans company. In February 2018, the Industrial Court of Izhevsk sent him under house arrest on charges of organizing an attempted murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy and hire.
[…] The name of Vladimir Tumaev is included in the Guinness Book of Records. It’s no joke, he ended his football career at 58! There are no such long-livers among the “masters of the leather ball” anywhere in the world. However, Vladimir Alekseevich started late – at the age of 43. At this age, professional football players are already playing for veterans. But Tumaev was easier. In the late 80s, he created the Soyuz-Gazprom football club (now Zenit-Izhevsk) in the capital of Udmurtia and later included himself in the team. Of course, he played in the attack – to run less. In 133 matches, as meticulous statistics calculated, Tumaev scored in the first and second leagues … nine goals. Not much. But he went down in history as the oldest footballer in Russia.
In 2012, Tumaev was even among the candidates for the presidency of the Russian Football Union. But he lost in the elections – the RFU then headed Nikolai Tolstykh.
And in February 2018, Vladimir Alekseevich was arrested. He was accused of attempted murder committed by a group of persons for mercenary motives. According to investigators, Tumaev, a former football player and long-term head of Spetsgazavtotrans (one of Gazprom’s subsidiaries), threatened lawyer Vadim Styazhkin and was involved in his severe beating. Two strangers with metal pipes ambushed Styazhkin at the office. He was hit with several bullets from a traumatic pistol and hit on the head with a pipe. But the lawyer managed to survive. And he did not remain silent – he blamed Tumaev for everything.
Men quarreled over money. Five years ago, Tumaev decided to start building the Czech Village cottage settlement. The businessman needed working capital. Tumaev’s son-in-law Vadim Chernov brought him together with Styazhkin. The lawyer was asked to become a guarantor when obtaining a loan from a bank in the amount of 10 million rubles.
“At that moment, I did not see any risks for myself,” Vadim Styazhkin admitted. – The customer of the project was Tamara Tumaeva, the wife of the accused. The contractor was an organization where the founder was Tumaev’s son-in-law, Chernov. (By the way, he was one of the guarantors.) Non-residential premises that belonged to Tumaev’s daughter Natalya Chernova and her husband were pledged as collateral. It seemed to me that everyone here is in the same team, everyone wants the village to be built on time. But then the unexpected happened – Vadim Chernov (and he was Tumaev’s first deputy at Spetsgazavtotrans) divorced the boss’s daughter. We started dividing property. And Tumaev tensed up. He suggested that I go against Chernov, but I refused. Then Tumaev redeemed the loan obligations from the bank and began to demand from me and Chernov, as from guarantors, the amount of the loan taken. But the Tumaev family used the money! What am I doing here?
They set fire to the office
According to Styazhkin, he offered a tough businessman to conclude a settlement agreement. Tumaev seemed to agree. But when the participants in the conflict met in a cafe, SOBR officers appeared out of nowhere. They detained a lawyer who was taken aback by surprise. It turned out that Tumaev’s wife had scribbled the “declaration” against him.
Lawyer Styazhkin was pressured in different ways. His office building was set on fire. They wrecked my wife’s car. But he still continued to fight. At some point, all bank accounts and property of Styazhkin were arrested by court order. Vadim Valentinovich was forced to give Tumaev what he did not take. But the lawyer turned out to be not a timid one. The endless trials continued for four years. As a result, the intractable Styazhkin nevertheless returned part of his money. And in May 2017, he received bullets in the stomach and head.
– I was told that it was useless to fight Tumaev. Behind him is a powerful “resource”. He has a lawyer Andrey Zakharov. So, Zakharov gave his client the following definition: “alpha male”. Tumaev considers himself the master of life, and everyone around is sheep. I didn’t want to be a sheep. That’s why they shot at me. […]
