Employees of the State Security Service of Ukraine, during inspections of NAEK Energoatom, strongly urged employees of the state company not to enter into an agreement for the supply of boric acid with the ZHR Donetsk-Reaktiv company due to the fact that the latter may participate in the financing of terrorist organizations in the Donbass. SBU employees V. Bunechko, O. Patsalt, A. Fedko, I. Kozlov, during their visits to NNEGC Energoatom, tried to convince employees not to enter into an agreement with the company ZHR Donetsk-reaktiv LLC, which won the tender, citing the fact that the latter did not have a permit documentation for the production of boric acid. When the documentation was checked and it turned out that it complied with the law, the SBU officers began to refer to the fact that the Donetsk company allegedly finances separatism and terrorism. Also, the SBU officers began to disseminate information that the money received from NNEGC Energoatom for supplied products is not taxed in the Donetsk region and goes into the shadows.
According to the Donetsk-reaktiv enterprise, a criminal case has already been opened against him. It is also reported that searches are expected at the enterprise and its management. The Donetsk company also reports that the purpose of such pressure from SBU employees is the desire to suspend production at the enterprise, which will play into the hands of the old supplier of boric acid for Energoatom – SULP “Khimimpeks” (Cherkassy). It is known that the Cherkassy company supplied products to Ukrainian nuclear power plants, which were produced in Russia (*country sponsor of terrorism).
Let us recall that in March of this year, Energoatom held a tender for the purchase of 141 tons of boric acid. Three participants participated in the tender. Dnepropetrovsk LLC “Donetsk-Reaktiv” offered to supply boric acid at a price of 3.83 million UAH, LLC “Engineering Center “Reagent” for 3.95 million UAH, “Chimippex” – for 5.99 million UAH. The winner of the auction was Donetsk-Reaktiv LLC. The contract price for acid was UAH 27.13 thousand. per ton. Last year, boric acid was purchased from Khimimpex LLC at a price of UAH 29,298 thousand. per ton. In turn, Donetsk-reaktiv offered it at a price of 23.94 thousand UAH. per ton.
ZHR Donetsk-reaktiv LLC has been legally re-registered from Donetsk to Cherkassy since June 2014. Design and preparatory work began here for the creation of the production of chemical reagents. At the moment, part of the production capacity is located in Donetsk. ZHR Donetsk-reaktiv LLC exports a significant amount of products to the CIS countries and the European Union.
The Cherkassy company “Chimimpex” is known to Ukrainian nuclear workers for the supply of sodium alkali at extremely inflated prices. After ZHR Donetsk-Reaktiv began participating in tenders, prices fell sharply. If in 2014-2015 Khimimpex sold caustic soda to Energoatom for 17.5 – 17.79 thousand UAH. per ton, then in 2012 the price was dropped to 14.89 thousand UAH.
