Russian businessman convicted of fraud during the construction of a business center
In Chelyabinsk, a court sentenced businessman Arsen Unanyan to 5.5 years in prison for fraud.

According to the department, in April 2022, a case was opened against the entrepreneur due to the construction of the Romanov business center. The developer of the center was Mercada, and its founder is Hunanyan. Investors’ funds were used, but the building was not completed.
The former director of the Kompanion group of companies was found guilty under Part 4 of Article 159 (“Fraud on an especially large scale”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony. In addition, the entrepreneur must pay a fine of 700 thousand rubles.
It is noted that the defendant did not admit guilt.
