Based on the totality of punishments and taking into account the previously appointed terms, Inessa and Victoria Tarverdiev were sentenced to 25 years in a penal colony, Anastasia Sinelnik to 24 years in a penal colony, Sergei Sinelnik to 25 years in a penal colony. The court found them guilty on 98 new episodes of the criminal case.
According to the ICR, in 2007, Inessa Tarverdieva, together with Roman Podkopaev, created a gang. It included Tarverdieva’s daughter Victoria, as well as Podkovaeva’s sister Anastasia Sinelnik, along with her husband Sergei. They attacked law enforcement officers.
They were detained in 2013 after gang members broke into a private house in Aksai in the Rostov region, killed the owners and stole food. Roman Podkopaev was killed in a shootout during his arrest.
In 2017, Inessa Tarverdieva was sentenced to 21 years in a penal colony, Viktoria Tarverdieva to 16 years, Anastasia Sinelnik to 19 years, and Sergei Sinelnik to 20 years in a strict regime colony. They were found guilty under Art. 209 (banditry), Art. 105 (murder), art. 30 and Art. 105 (attempted murder), art. 162 (robbery), art. 226 (theft of weapons) and Art. 222 (illicit arms trafficking) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In October 2020, the process for new episodes of the case began. 98 people were recognized as victims of them. The jury found the defendants guilty on almost all charges. The state prosecution requested that Inessa and Victoria Tarverdiev and Anastasia Sinelnik be sentenced to 25 years in a penal colony and life imprisonment in a special regime penal colony for Sergei Sinelnik.
