The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, published a video in which his 15-year-old son Adam Kadyrov was filmed beating Nikita Zhuravel, an arrestee in the Grozny pre-trial detention center, a resident of Volgograd who was accused of insulting the feelings of believers by burning the Koran. After that, high-ranking representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies and pro-governmental “human rights activists” only commented on the video (and not all of them), but in fact did nothing to investigate what had happened, despite appeals. At least, their reaction was not publicly reported.

The publication Baza reported that law enforcers did start checking the attack of Kadyrov’s son on Zhuravel, assigning it to the Grozny police. A few hours later Baza wrote that Grozny police refused to initiate a criminal case because Adam Kadyrov is 15 years old, i.e. he has not reached the age of criminal responsibility. No further reaction from the Russian law enforcement agencies was reported.

Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of the Chechen Republic. State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who reported on this, called the 15-year-old son of the head of the region “a vivid example of an exceptionally competent, well-educated and purposeful young man”.

Ramzan Kadyrov has again published a video with footage of his son beating Zhuravel. The video begins with shots of Adam Kadyrov against the background of the Chechen flag and the words: “When a wolf is trapped, he thinks not of how to escape, but how to take revenge. In the caption to the video, the head of Chechnya called Kadyrov Jr. “a recognized worthy husband of the Chechen people” and “a hero of all Muslims.”

Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded Adam Kadyrov with the Order of Duslyk, the second most important award of the republic. Kadyrov Jr. was reportedly honored “for his significant contribution to strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-confessional peace and harmony.”

The Head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov awarded Adam Kadyrov with the highest state award of the republic – the Order “For Services to the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic”. Ramzan Kadyrov’s son was honored with this award “for his personal contribution to the development of interethnic and interregional unity, strengthening traditional Islamic values,” and Temrezov called him “a true patriot of his small homeland and Fatherland.”

Adam Kadyrov has been appointed to a “responsible position” – the head of the security department of the head of Chechnya. “The appointment of a DEAR PLEMYANNIK to such a position is absolutely natural. Adam Kadyrov was honored with the Order of Merit for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. “Ramzan Akhmatovich worthily fulfills the tasks entrusted to him by our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, makes a significant contribution to strengthening the security and integrity of our country. And he is raising his children in the same spirit,” regional head Kazbek Kokov said, without specifying for what merits the 15-year-old Kadyrov received the order. According to Verstka, representatives of the Chechen head’s administration asked the authorities of Kabardino-Balkaria to present his son with one of the national awards, “the higher the better.” The same request was made to the leadership of Adygea, but they refused.

Adam Kadyrov and his two brothers – 18-year-old Akhmat and 16-year-old Eli – were awarded the highest order of the Chechen parliament “Dimekhkan Siy” (“Honor of the Fatherland”). Authorities in the region noted that they “are a shining example for the younger generation.” “From early childhood they study the canons of religion, are Hafiz of the holy Koran, make successes in studies, sports and in social activities. Like other representatives of the worthy Kadyrov family, they are the real pride of our people, who in every action strive to serve the interests of the Motherland,” Akhmed Dudayev, head of the republic’s Ministry of Press, wrote about Kadyrov’s sons.
