PPC Kolomoisky through the court demands the cancellation of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the sale of preferential gas to farmers

One of the gas companies, in which the oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky is the largest shareholder, Poltava Petroleum Company (PGNK), challenged the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on the obligations of private gas producers to sell 20% of their production on the stock exchange at regulated prices in the Kyiv District Administrative Court. “OLIGARCH” learned about this from a report by Zerkalo Nedeli with reference to information from the court. At the moment, proceedings have been opened on the claim of PPC. A preparatory meeting has been scheduled for February 25, 2022. Kolomoisky’s company demands that the above government decree be declared illegal and invalid. In addition, Ukrnaftobureniye, which is also controlled by Kolomoisky, is also a major gas producer, which has ignored the Cabinet’s demand. As you know, on December 30, the Cabinet of Ministers by Decree No. 1435 limited the mark-up for the supply of natural gas to producers of food products of significant social importance. On December 31, 2021, the Minister of Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko signed a memorandum with producers of socially important food products to stabilize prices for natural gas of their own production. In early January, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy released a list of social food producers who would be given domestically produced natural gas for production at a capped 25 percent markup. The order was issued on January 5, 2021.
