Pinchuk spoke about threats from Kolomoisky

Victor Pinchuk

According to the press service of Victor Pinchuk, businessman Victor Pinchuk said that the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Igor Kolomoisky, is blackmailing him because of a future trial in London.

“Since the filing of these claims, Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov (Read more about him in the article Gennady Bogolyubov: what is the other half of “Privat” keeping quiet about?) began to threaten me with a campaign against my loved ones. Last week the blackmail took an open form. And it is absolutely obvious to me that in this way Messrs. Kolomoisky and Bogolyubov are trying to put pressure on me so that I withdraw the lawsuits that I filed against them in London,” says Pinchuk.

Pinchuk states that in 2011, then-President Viktor Yanukovych took revenge on Kuchma in a similar way for refusing to disperse the Maidan in 2004.

“Today Kolomoisky is using the same “tools” of Yanukovych, using Kuzmin (Read more about him in the article Renat Kuzmin: family business of lawless prosecutors) and Melnichenko,” said Pinchuk. “But the blackmail didn’t work in 2011, and it won’t work today either.” The claims will not be withdrawn.”

According to Pinchuk, Igor Kolomoisky, who has concentrated both power levers and powerful administrative resources in his hands, is putting pressure on him.

“I separately respond to the accusation of bribery made by the professional falsifier of political processes Kuzmin. This is an absolute lie. We did not pay anything to close the case against L.D. Kuchma,” says Pinchuk.

“The case was closed because the accusations were groundless and unproven. And putting pressure on me and Leonid Danilovich is counterproductive,” he adds.

He also recalls that he is Kuchma’s son-in-law and has a business conflict and legal proceedings “with individual shareholders of the 1+1 TV channel.”

Pinchuk also indicates that he and his family are interested in a fair and objective investigation into the tragedy of Georgy Gongadze, and also support an open trial of Pukach.

Let us recall that last Wednesday the “1+1” TV channel aired the program “The Right to Vlad,” where former Deputy Prosecutor General Renat Kuzmin openly announced that in order to “hush up” the case of the murder of journalist Georgy Gongadze, Kuchma and his family gave a record bribe to ex-president Yanukovych in the amount of 1 billion US dollars.
