Nikolai Skorik: little-known pages from the life of an Odessa hypocrite and scoundrel. PART 1

Nikolai Skorik: little-known pages from the life of an Odessa hypocrite and scoundrel. PART 1

Most Ukrainian politicians suffer from the “righteous syndrome”: they believe that they have nothing to repent of either before the law or before the people. And if anyone has any sin, it is insignificant and can be atoned for by wearing an embroidered shirt or singing a hymn a hundred times. But most of all, they hope that Ukrainians will never learn the secrets of their past. Like, for example, people’s deputy Nikolai Skorik, who has something to hide from his voters…

Until 2014, Nikolai Skorik was almost unknown outside of Odessa and Crimea, and even then he “became famous” mainly thanks to his ongoing dualism with Alexey Goncharenko. In 2016, their enmity reached its maximum intensity, but fellow party members stood up for Skorik, while Goncharenko fought against him almost alone – and therefore often suffered defeats. Like, for example, during his attempt to slip a bag of crackers to his colleague in the Rada with an obvious hint.

Commenting on this incident, Nikolai Skorik, with his characteristic cheerful confidence, hastened to declare that Goncharenko is a vile and unprincipled person, “fed by the past regime,” who during the time of Yanukovych was the second person in the Odessa regional council, while Skorik himself was “sent into exile in the Crimea.” .

Well, this was a rather bold statement for someone who for 8 years (from 2006 to 2014) was far from an ordinary member of the Party of Regions, and during the second Maidan (November 2013 – March 2014) even headed its Odessa regional organization. Well, in the fall of 2014, Nikolai Skorik was elected as a people’s deputy on the list of the Opposition Bloc – that is, in fact, he remained in the ranks of the regionals. As for the alleged “exile to Crimea”, it, according to Skelet.Infobrought Skorik good dividends, which he received in the course of fraud with budget funds. However, now we will tell you everything in order and in detail, giving you the opportunity to find out on your own who the scoundrel and “foster child” really is.

Kolya and “Uncle Lenya”

Skorik Nikolai Leonidovich was born on November 29, 1972 in Odessa, where he graduated from high school No. 121 in 1989. At school, the boy Kolya was smart and diligent (this is especially noted in his biography), he went to the rocket modeling club, and even in 1987 he won the republican competition for young rocket scientists. Maybe he really dreamed of building real rockets, which is why he entered the Odessa Polytechnic Institute (now the National Polytechnic University), but then adjusted his specialty to the more vital “Economics and Management in Mechanical Engineering.” Our hero did not serve in the army, although he has excellent health and even went in for sports, and in general his childhood, adolescence and youth were cloudless and devoid of many of the problems that his peers faced. Because his family had the necessary connections – and at the turn of the 80s and 90s, connections decided everything, just as they do today.

From Kolya Skorik’s school album

Their family was “scientific and technical”: father Leonid Davydovich Skorik was a well-known specialist in electronic equipment, and mother Lyudmila Zalyubinskaya was a physicist (now she is an associate professor at Mechnikov University). However, in the late 80s, Lyudmila Zalyubinskaya was engaged not so much in science as in politics and social activities: she was one of the founders of the “People’s Movement” (personally acquainted with Vyacheslav Chernovol) and the Union of Ukrainian Women, headed the Committee of Soldiers’ Mothers of Odessa (although Kolya is in the army never served), and was also a member of the well-known “Ecoclub” in Odessa, which gave Eduard Gurvits a ticket to power. For the next quarter of a century, Zalyubinskaya was a “nationally conscious Ukrainian of Odessa” (which she always emphasized), supported both Maidans, but already in the fall of 2014 she criticized the new government.

Politics and social detail gave their family many acquaintances and connections, thanks to which a polytechnic graduate with a diploma in economics-manager immediately got a job at the Primorye joint venture. It is worth explaining the extraordinary nature of such an event. So, 1994, the first wave of cuts and layoffs is around the corner, finding a job is no longer easy, let alone a paid one. But Nikolai Skorik was hired for a good job not just in a commercial company, but in the Primorye joint venture, owned by Leonid Klimov.

Leonid Klimov

Leonid Mikhailovich Klimov (born 1953) is not only one of the most influential and rich people of Odessa (in the crisis year of 2014 his fortune was estimated at $122 million), he is one of its “shadow masters”, maintaining his high position since 80s of the last century. He successfully survived the collapse of the Union, the gangster 90s, the endless war for power in the city between Eduard Gurvits and Ruslan Bodelan, two Maidans and five presidents. At the same time, his closeness to Viktor Yanukovych, whose adviser Klimov was in 2010-2014, never came back to haunt him. The thing is that Klimov knows how to keep a low profile in public, although he has more than once been involved in Odessa scandals related to the illegal development of coastal areas of the city.

Klimov tells Yanukovych about Odessa’s preparations for Euro 2012

In the 80s, Leonid Klimov headed the Primorsky district food trade of the Odessa Trade Department, which, in conditions of Soviet shortages, made him a king with connections in all areas. In 1989, he even rose to the rank of deputy head of the trade department of the Odessa Regional Executive Committee, but then suddenly “fell” to the head of the Odessa Railway. Apparently, the wave of changes in leadership that passed through Odessa (and the country in general) had an effect. According to available Skelet.Info information, this was due to the fact that Klimov was too overzealous in his economic machinations – primarily speculating in products through networks of cooperatives. But already in 1990, he left his chair and went into business, opening his first MP “Progress”. And in 1991, together with Arkady Schneider and Vladimir Lemza, he founded the Primorye joint venture, which became the basis of his business empire, which now numbers more than fifty enterprises (excluding offshore companies and fly-by-night companies). Later, Klimov “dumped” Lemza, but what exactly connected the nationally conscious parents of Nikolai Skorik with the Soviet corrupt official Klimov remained unknown. They themselves keep quiet about it, and the rumors are contradictory. Some say that Skorik’s parents had some kind of common business with Klimov, while others say that Nikolai’s employment could not have happened without the help of the nimble and omnipresent Gurvits. But be that as it may, the son of Rukh activist Nikolai Skorik was not only hired by Leonid Klimov’s company, but also very quickly became “Uncle Lenya’s” most trusted person.

Indeed, after a year of work in the Primorye joint venture, which grew into a closed joint-stock company with numerous branches, Nikolai Skorik received the position of head of the development department of Imexbank JSCB, the financial center of the Primorye group, through which Leonid Klimov’s entire business was carried out. And from the end of 1999 to May 2006, Skorik headed the board of Imexbank, thus becoming Klimov’s personal treasurer – and not even every relative is trusted with such a responsible job!

Nikolai Skorik. Love and dollars

If you have any idea that perhaps Nikolai Skorik is a man of crystal honesty and deepest decency, who simply did his job honestly, then we will hasten to disappoint you. As an argument, one could use the fact that the head of the board of Imexbank turned a blind eye to all the shadow operations of his boss – and you cannot argue with that. However, there are more weighty arguments that reveal the personality of Nikolai Leonidovich in the most disgusting light – both as a man and as just a person.

Ekaterina Karpovskaya, ex-wife of Nikolai Skorik

This story began with his marriage in 1993 to his former classmate Ekaterina Karpovskaya, whom they dated for several years. A year later, their daughter was born, Natalya Nikolaevna Skorik. However, soon the young head of the development department of Imexbank took on a mistress, who, as if according to the canons of the genre, became his wife’s best friend, Natalya Astankevich. As a result, in 2001, Nikolai Skorik and Natalya Karpovskaya divorced, and abandoned by her husband, Natalya, her mother and daughter, left for permanent residence in South Africa, in Cape Town. And Nikolai in 2003 officially married Astankevich – who became Natalya Vladimirovna Skorik (not to be confused with his daughter Natalya Nikolaevna).

Second family of Nikolai Skorik

And there would have been no trouble from this if Nikolai Skorik had not opened a representative office of Imexbank in South Africa at the same time. By the way, from the perspective of this family drama, I never asked myself the question, why? Indeed, what kind of trade and financial transactions connected Leonid Klimov’s business empire with the Republic of South Africa, what kind of interest did he have there, why did he need a representative office of his bank there? Is it only imported orange? After all, it never even occurred to anyone to export coal from there. And on this score there is interesting information that this idea was exclusively a scam by Nikolai Skorik – with the aim of employing his ex-wife Ekaterina Karpovskaya, whom he appointed as the authorized representative of Imexbank in South Africa. And she not only received a salary from the bank (more precisely, from her ex-husband), but managed to accumulate about a million dollars, which were in the accounts of Imexbank.

And Nikolai Skorik became a frequent visitor to South Africa, after which in 2006 Ekaterina Karpovskaya gave birth to her second child, son Daniel. The happy father rushed about, and he almost had a return to his former family, but in 2007, his second wife Natalya also gave birth to a child (daughter Margarita). One can only imagine what passions were boiling in the Skoriks’ house back then! Meanwhile, in 2006, Nikolai Skorik was elected to the Odessa Regional Council and became its chairman, which forced him to leave his post as head of the board of Imexbank. And either his departure from a leadership position, or the demands of his second wife Natalia, led to the bank stopping transferring salaries to its representative office in South Africa. This could still be attributed to some difficulties, but at the same time Nikolai Skorik abandoned his first family for the second time, ceasing to visit them and stopping all communication.

But this was only the first of the villainies he committed! The second was the loss of money from the accounts of Ekaterina Karpovskaya and her mother, which happened in 2009. Like this: they were – and then they simply disappeared! Karpovskaya tried to return the money through the court – but she filed it with the Labor Court of South Africa, which was not a decree for the Ukrainian bank. Then she tried to sue the money through a Ukrainian court, hiring lawyer Yuri Kostynyuk for this. The case was considered in the Kiev District Court of Odessa, where judge Irina Ogrenich, known for her corruption (a criminal case was even opened against her), rejected Karpovskaya’s claim against Imexbank and generally stated that there were no documents confirming that Karpovskaya worked as a representative of the bank in South Africa. Lawyer Kostynyuk was subjected to pressure from openly criminal individuals who advised him to quit this case.

And what about Nikolai Skorik? And since 2010, he served as Minister of Finance of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, being under the wing of the new Crimean Prime Minister Vasily Dzharty. Sources Skelet.Info reported that it was Nikolai Skorik who gave the secret order not only to leave his ex-wife with nothing, but also to liquidate all documents confirming that she actually worked as a representative of Imexbank in South Africa.

The most disgusting thing is that immediately after the efforts of Nikolai Skorik the Odessa court rejected all the claims of his first wife Ekaterina Karpova, he made a royal gift to his second wife Natalya Skorik (Astankevich). In March 2011, he registered a three-story “country house” with an area of 629 square meters. meters, located on the seashore in the Golden Bugaz massif.

Nikolai Skorik: little-known pages from the life of an Odessa hypocrite and scoundrel. PART 1

But this was not the end of the story. It happened in 2013 and was simply disgusting. Left without funds, Ekaterina Karpovskaya, who seriously owed so much on old loans that she would hardly have been able to pay off if she got a simple job, out of desperation decided to organize a scam herself. She stated that her children were allegedly kidnapped by criminals (this is a common occurrence in crime-ridden Cape Town) and began collecting funds for their ransom. She managed to collect almost 400 thousand dollars, which she immediately “spent” when the scam was exposed. And again the trial took place, only this time over Karpovskaya herself. She received a sentence: three years of restriction of freedom with community service, and a five-year sentence to return 400 thousand – otherwise in August 2018 she will go to prison for real, and for 15 years!

And what about Nikolai Skorik, who robbed his ex-wife and pushed her into committing a crime? He knows well that a white woman in an African prison will not have it easy, and 15 years is practically a life sentence. But the scoundrel simply froze off, pretending that he never knew any Ekaterina Karpova. And at the same time, in the summer of 2013, he gave his second wife Natalya another house – now in Yalta, in the South Coast housing complex.
