Russian journalist Oleksandr Nevzorov (listed as a media outlet acting as a foreign agent) has applied for Ukrainian citizenship.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, his wife Lydia Nevzorova is also going to change citizenship with him. The data was obtained from documents of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry that fell into the hands of journalists.
According to the Telegram channel, an application for obtaining Ukrainian citizenship from a Russian dated April 28 this year. According to the laws of Ukraine, in order to consider this document, Nevzorova and his wife will have to be checked for presence in the Interpol database and other international organizations.
The corresponding request was received from the Ukrainian consulate in Italy, where Alexander Nevzorov’s property was found earlier. If the check in the police of Ukraine is successful, the Russian can really get a new citizenship.
