The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), at the request of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, has begun monitoring the lifestyle of the head of the National Police Ivan Vyhovsky. This was reported by the NABU press service in response to a request from the Slovo i Delo publication.
“As of the time of receipt of the request, detectives of the National Bureau are not conducting a pre-trial investigation into the facts set out in the journalistic investigation of Bigus.info. At the same time, we inform you that the National Bureau has carried out information and analytical work, based on the results of which a letter was sent to the NAPC to monitor the lifestyle of the person mentioned in the journalistic investigation,” the NABU letter says.
Based on the results of the monitoring, NABU detectives will decide whether there are grounds for entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and initiating a pre-trial investigation.
At the same time, the publication’s sources in the NAPC reported that they have already begun monitoring the lifestyle of the head of the National Police.

Journalists found out that Vyhovsky’s sister, who worked as a teacher, has owned a share in Yugnefteprodukt LLC, which trades fuel, since 2019. In recent years, the company has traded with at least two defendants in criminal cases investigated by the National Police.
In addition, in 2020, his sister’s company and partners bought two hectares of land on the approach to Nikolaev, where they launched a gas station under the KIV OIL brand. According to a journalistic investigation, they sold fuel there without a license and without receipts.
Vyhovsky has been working in the structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for more than 10 years. In all his declarations, Vyhovsky notes that he uses rented or borrowed property.
In particular, after his appointment to the capital, Vyhovskyi settled in a private house near Kiev worth 6.5 million UAH. It was registered to a long-time friend of the family from Nikolaev. However, according to journalists, the woman could not afford to buy such a house. When Vyhovskyi worked in Nikolaev, he lived in a house registered to his sister.
In addition, Vyhovskyi had been using cars registered to his mother-in-law for a long time – a Hyundai Santa Fe, then a Volkswagen Touareg. Then his mother-in-law sold the Touareg and gave the entire proceeds (900 thousand UAH) to her daughter. The specified amount was just enough to buy an Audi SQ5, although the mother-in-law herself then bought a new Audi SQ8. Such cars cost from $100 thousand, and Vyhovskyi’s mother-in-law has neither a business nor even a salary, journalists reported.
- Last year, the Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on July 14 appointed Ivan Vyhovskyi as head of the National Police of Ukraine.
- Since January 20, 2023, Vyhovskyi has held the position of Acting Head of the National Police. Before that, he headed the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv.
