According to the order of the North Korean leader, residents of the capital need to measure the temperature 4 times a day and report to the doctors by phone. The North Korean government has closed entry to the country’s capital, Pyongyang, due to a mysterious respiratory illness.

It is not known whether we are talking about an outbreak of coronavirus infection, or about something else. It is reported by Metro.

For five days, residents of the city will be in their homes and measure the temperature.

This information was confirmed by the local press, as well as the Russian embassy, citing the order of the government of Kim Jong-un.

It is reported that a “special anti-epidemic period” was established, during which representatives of foreign delegations were asked not to leave the embassies.

Residents of the capital were asked to measure the temperature four times a day and report the results to hospitals by phone.

Covid-19 is not reported in the government announcement, but mentions “an increase in cases of re-infection with influenza and other respiratory diseases.”

On Tuesday, it became known that Pyongyang residents are stocking up on groceries in anticipation of tough restrictive measures.

In July, the country’s authorities suggested that the outbreak of coronavirus infection in the country was due to those who had contact with the balloons that arrived from South Korea. By August, however, victory over the virus had already been declared.

The authorities do not report exact data on the incidence in the country, so it is difficult to draw a conclusion about the consequences of the pandemic in this closed country.
