MPs are getting rich again

Recently, an annual report on the income and property of deputies and their families was posted on the website of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg. This year, the public is forced to be content with an impersonal document due to the adopted federal law. But still, there are some “highlights” in this report.

You never dreamed

It must be admitted that publishing information about the income of deputies is already superfluous. Everyone already knows that deputies are rich and successful people. This can be seen without reports and documents. The well-fed faces of parliamentarians and their well-tailored clothes can be seen regularly on television. And yet, even in an impersonal format, it is completely clear that the common man has something to envy.

So, the richest parliamentarian in 2023 earned more than 210 million rubles. If you average, you get about 17.5 million rubles per month. In second place is deputy number 40, he earned 26.5 million rubles in a year, in third place is people’s choice number 45 with 21.45 million rubles, respectively.

Of course, everyone immediately became curious about who the most important rich man in the St. Petersburg parliament was. Let us note that in the last reporting year (2022) the communist was the leader in income Alexander Rassudov (106 million per year) but now, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (*country sponsor of terrorism) has refused the “championship”, telling reporters that now he is not the winner in terms of income. The deputy from the New People party, the founder of the development company Colway, also disowned leadership. Dmitry Pavlov. He also stated that it was not he who earned the notorious 210 million rubles.

The meticulous public, in fact, was looking in the list for how much speaker Belsky earned, who not so long ago got into a scandal with a car worth 10 million rubles and luxury accessories, which we have already written about. I must say that she (the public) was not disappointed. Thus, it turned out that in 2022 the speaker earned 4 million rubles in a year, and for the reporting period of 2023 already almost 8 million rubles. However, the speaker of parliament corrected matters, taking into account the fact that, judging by the declaration, the head of the Legislative Assembly is naked as a falcon – he did not declare either an apartment, a house, a car, or even Kuma Pumpkin’s three-brick house. Homeless, and that’s all.

In addition, it turned out that foreign agents from the ranks of the people’s representatives also do not live in poverty, and eat heartily, and apparently rest comfortably on soft feather beds. It turned out that Boris Vishnevsky, received not only the title of foreign agent, but also 5 million rubles from the cash desks of the Mariinsky Palace and the Pension Fund. Life is good for parliamentarians with a foreign agent badge in the Northern capital, there’s no other way to put it. The car is also a service car due to its status. Note that in 2022, Vishnevsky, according to the income report, earned only 3.5 million rubles.

True, the majority of deputies have significantly lower incomes: 38 out of 49 assessors in the legislative assembly had an income of up to 6 million rubles.

The minimum indicated income is 4.29 million rubles per year, which is approximately 375 thousand per month. It belongs to the deputy number -17.

Our information:
The average income of Legislative Assembly deputies in 2022 was 3 million rubles. The lowest threshold is 2.7 million rubles, the upper one is 106.3 million rubles. In total, in 2022, 50 deputies of the Legislative Assembly earned approximately 309.5 million rubles.

Childish spontaneity

A separate line is the earnings of spouses of parliamentarians and the income of their children. Here everything is much more modest. Usually the income of the other halves does not exceed a million rubles a year, but there are exceptions: for example, “half” of the deputy number 28 earned about 47 million rubles.

The record holder for earnings among minor children of St. Petersburg parliamentarians was the deputy’s child number 26.

The minor earned 67.2 thousand rubles in a year.

Real estate is another matter. Here the leadership was decisively seized by deputy number 13 and number 18. Each of them owns 20 real estate properties and another 6 per life partner. Four people’s representatives each own three vehicles. During the last reporting period (2022), the cars of the same speaker aroused the greatest interest Alexander Belsky. When the parliamentarian released information about his personal assets for 2022, it turned out that his family bought a new car – a BMW X7 XDRIVE30D. The car, like two others (“Jaguar XF” and “Mercedes Benz GL 350 CDI 4MATIC”), turned out to be registered to the speaker’s wife. At the same time, the income of Belsky’s wife for 2022 amounted to only 353.1 thousand rubles.

With the current parliamentary foreign agent Boris Vishnevsky, everything is much more modest with real estate and movable property. Judging by published data, he owns half of an apartment in Russia (*aggressor country) with an area of 82.9 square meters. m. and an Opel Astra car. Despite the current anonymity of data (at the request of the elected officials themselves), St. Petersburg residents sarcastically noted in the comments that it would be nice for the people’s representatives to declare the purchase of expensive accessories, premium shoes, luxury suits and jewelry. Like in the song of the cat Basilio and the Fox Alice – don’t hide your money in banks and corners. But alas, the dreams of the general public apparently are not destined to come true.

Our information:
The vice-governor became the richest member of the St. Petersburg government in 2021 Sergey Dregvalresponsible for energy and tariffs: his income amounted to 59 million rubles.
