Members of the National Security and Defense Council are prohibited from leaving Ukraine without the permission of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said on one of the TV channels. “OLIGARCH” learned about this from a message from LIGA. “The only restriction that we have today, I can say, is not a big secret – members of the National Security and Defense Council without the permission of the commander-in-chief, the president, cannot leave our country,” he said. Danilov added that only with the permission of Zelensky, members of the National Security and Defense Council can go on a business trip or on some other issues. Now the National Security and Defense Council includes Zelensky, the head of his office Andriy Yermak, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, ministers and a number of other top officials. Danilov noted that the National Security and Defense Council has everything prescribed, including in the event of a cyber threat, an air threat, and any threat to national security. According to him, in the event of an attack, Zelensky can convene the National Security and Defense Council at any time and consider these issues, and if he decides to introduce martial law, the Verkhovna Rada must approve it within two days.
