But, as it became known, at first they were assigned to the Krasnopolsky military commissariat, and from where both were transferred to the 3rd security department of the 3rd security platoon of the company of the 3rd department of the Sumy regional territorial center for recruitment and social support. Most of the military are in the barracks and have neither the time nor the opportunity for a luxurious life – the soldiers are preparing for war.

Dmitry Nagorny is a top official of the Sumy Regional Council and part-time head of the regional organization of the European Solidarity party. Nagorny’s position is the head of the property department, which provides for guardianship of the most vulnerable municipal enterprises in the region: boarding schools, hospitals, and psychiatric dispensaries.
Only the official salary of Nagorny in 2019, 2020, 2021 reached UAH 165,000 per month. Together with his deputy, he received a total of about UAH 300,000 per month, while other property management employees had a salary of just over UAH 10,000.

But that’s not all. Nagorny’s wife is the same Sumy deputy who has Russian citizenship and owns a business in the aggressor state, about which Apostrophe wrote earlier. Marina Nagornaya represents the European Solidarity party in the local parliament. She officially works in the Party Secretariat and drives around the streets of Sumy in an undeclared Porsche Cayenne. And just a week before the full-scale invasion, Marina Nagornaya even went to Russia.

Dmitry Nagorny, together with his wife, commented on this scandal on social networks and stated that this was not true. Marina Nagornaya wrote that back in 2018 she passed a lie detector, which confirmed her innocence. But information about the presence of a passport of a Russian citizen, a Russian international passport and information about individual entrepreneurship in Russia are still displayed in Russian databases. As we learned from our sources, Vadim Akperov, a friend and brother in military service of Dmitry Nagorny, bought in the middle of the war, in September 2022, a 2019 BMW X7 luxury car (BM8000VM number) and registered it with his father Vagif Akperov. The market value of such a new car in the simplest configuration is in the region of $80-90 thousand. But for some reason, the deputy was too shy to write the real cost of the car and included in the declaration the price twice as low as the market price. Since the beginning of the war, the state has hidden the declarations of officials from 2021 and making changes to them. Therefore, it is not possible to publish the new points of Akperov’s declaration, but the purchase of a BMW X7 for his father was confirmed to us by a source in NABU.

Inconsistency in declarations is not a new experience for Akperov. Despite the high official salary in the Sumy regional administration, which in 2020 alone amounted to UAH 663,000 and large amounts of cash in national and foreign currencies, for some reason Vadim has been embarrassed to indicate the cost of his cars, houses and land plots for years.
Perhaps Akperov and Nagorny, having thus prepared themselves for the defense of the Motherland, will soon go to the Donbass to help their fellow countrymen. But, it is possible, based on their life path, the way they spend their leisure time in a chic way and possible connections with the local military leadership, if a specific combat mission is set to be sent to the front line, Nagorny and Akperov will try their best not to do this. However, the public of the Sumy region will be closely watching these two defenders, in what way they will try to demobilize.
