Moscow mayor’s fatal illness
Luzhkov has advanced thyroid cancer

As has been repeatedly reported in the media, Moscow Mayor Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov became seriously concerned about his own health about a year ago. After consulting with “close” doctors, he decided to undergo a course of newfangled cell therapy in one of the capital’s public clinics. The course used cells isolated from human embryos obtained as a result of abortion.
At first, Luzhkov really felt better – his performance increased, his body’s immunity increased. However, in the end, this treatment, questionable from an ethical point of view, led to undesirable consequences: Yuri Mikhailovich allegedly developed strange tumors, little studied by science, which were initially mistaken by doctors for cancer. The best scientists were involved in resolving the issue, who, for obvious reasons, were in no hurry to make a final diagnosis. Subsequently, doctors reported that these were supposedly benign “embryonic” tumors associated with the entry of embryonic cells into the body. However, this joyful diagnosis turned out to be incorrect.
And now, there is every reason to believe that the mayor of Moscow has received a final and very sad diagnosis, confirmed by official documents. According to experts, Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and in a progressive form.
According to one of the leading experts in the field of oncology, Paul Renyi: “Unfortunately, we cannot accurately predict the growth time of cancer cells, including in patients with thyroid cancer. An inoperable patient can live for several months or one year. It all depends on the general condition of the body.”
The consequences of Yuri Luzhkov’s fatal illness could be tragic for Yuri Mikhailovich’s entire team, some members of which are already beginning to prepare their own bridgeheads for retreat.
I wonder what the next actions of high-ranking officials, businessmen, bankers and other “circum-Luzhkov” figures will be. After all, many of the people now devoted to Yuri Mikhailovich may find themselves in completely different places – some next to Khodorkovsky, some next to Berezovsky, and some at the new power trough.
