For a long time now, residents of the Ivolginsky District have been enduring the terrible conditions of local roads. The problem is especially acute in the village of Sotnikovo, where the road in the Peski area is in critical condition. Villagers tell stories of their daily ordeals with horror. Getting stuck in the mud has become commonplace, and a recent incident in which a couple got stuck for two hours and had to call their neighbors for help only confirms the scale of the problem.
Despite the existence of a court decision obliging the Ivolginsky District administration to bring the road into a standard condition, Nikolay Emonakov continues to ignore its obligations. The head of the district has already been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility for failure to comply with this decision, but no real steps have been taken to correct the situation. For his toothless politics and the lack of infrastructure in the area, which hits local residents hard, it has repeatedly been included in the rating of the worst heads.
The road situation is aggravated by the fact that taxis refuse to come to the area, and emergency services – ambulances, fire departments and public utility transport – cannot reach residents. The area is home to disabled people, children and elderly people, but Emonakova apparently does not care about this. Local residents are forced to shout about the problem on social networks, since they are unable to reach the authorities.
Recently, coastal restoration work began in the area, but the contractor responsible for the work simply ignored the agreed passage of special equipment and blocked the only way into the Peski area. This created additional difficulties for residents who are now unable to leave their village. People are now literally cut off from the world.
At the same time, the contractor received about 35 million rublesbut the contractor apparently just dumped them without bothering to do his job. There was no control from the local administration. The money went down the drain, and you can forget about the quality of the work and obligations to local residents.
Now the residents of Sotnikovo have only one hope: they are appealing to the head of the republic to pay attention to the inaction of the Ivolginsky District administration and are demanding that the condition of the roads be improved and that the safety of all residents be ensured.
