Levus: Poroshenko appoints proteges of Russian oligarchs to positions

People’s Deputy from the NF faction and member of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and National Security, Andrei Levus, wrote in his blog on Censor.NET that Petro Poroshenko appoints proteges of Russian oligarchs to important positions in the energy sector.

Levus noted that one of these proteges is Valery Tarasyuk, whom the President of Ukraine appointed as a member of the NCRE (National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities).

The People’s Deputy wrote that Mr. Tarasyuk is known for the fact that in 2006, in the so-called Luzhnikov group of Babakov, he carried out a raider seizure of the Kyiv Rus Hotel. This is confirmed by a video recording made during the storming of the hotel. Later, titushki and militants of the Oplot organization were accommodated in the hotel. Russian businessman Babakov is a co-owner of ten Ukrainian regional power companies.

Levus emphasized that representatives of the parliamentary inter-factional association “Maidan Self-Defense” appealed to Petro Poroshenko with a demand to fire Valery Tarasyuk, since “without clearing the rear of Russian puppets, there will be no victory at the front,” the people’s deputy concluded.
